What does LOVE mean to you?

LOVE of life and all that we experience daily comes from what we believe is LOVE! The simplest words to express this inner emotion are, “I LOVE YOU!” As babies we are cherished with hugs and kisses from all who LOVE us and welcome us into the world. We grow up with this inner emotion expressed to us throughout our lives.

Sometimes though we are shown LOVE by another and then abused or lied to and filled with grief over something we did wrong. Where does the LOVE go? What is the fear that holds this person captive to do harm to someone they claim to LOVE?

“Hearts grow from a love of life and of each other…” – Anthony T. Hincks

In life, we journey a path that either is filled with LOVE, lacks LOVE or we are confused by LOVE! Many of us live a life of not believing we are worthy of LOVE, feel LOVED or simply do not know how to LOVE ourselves or another. Where does that stem from?

  • February is the month of LOVE!
  • Red is the color of LOVE!
  • Candy, Flowers, Champagne, Jewelry express LOVE!
  • Emerald Green is the color of the 4th Chakra our heart that pulsates LOVE!
  • Hugs and Kisses embrace LOVE!
  • Diamonds speak of LOVE!

An entire day to celebrate the LOVE in our lives is offered every February 14th. There are songs as well and all choices of gifts, books, and means of celebrating this special day as a LOVING couple, parent, sibling, child or friend. Remember the little Valentine cards in school and the candy hearts with the words on them we shared. The sentence, “Will you be my Valentine?” The sweetness of these memories is of LOVE or pain today for some.

My granddaughter Luciana is an expression of LOVE. When she FaceTimes me or I see her, I say to her,  I LOVE YOU! I LOVE YOU! I LOVE YOU! She giggles and says it back to me. At two years old she is LOVE!

Her brothers, Franco, six years and Sal, four years of age hug and kiss me when I visit and they feel LOVED and I feel LOVED.  Sometimes actions are louder than words when it comes to LOVE!

At ten years old my oldest grandson Hunter is at the age where he is cool and has the sweetest smile when he sees me and we both know we are LOVED! His brother, Hudson at nine years of age is a bundle of LOVE open to a hug and kiss from me and eager to show his strength. My six-year-old granddaughter, Jameson is pure beauty and LOVE as she beams out joy.

“Happiness is a child’s smile…” – Anthony T. Hincks

I cannot imagine ever in my life how they will experience this loss of LOVE one day through the societal relationships of others beliefs. I do understand that there is a reason for all that we experience on this amazing journey we travel. The plan, actions of others, karma, release and outlook on life is to discover the truth that rests with wonder when we were children like my grandchildren. Children have an inner wisdom that needs to be nurtured to allow their mastery of self to be experienced as a LOVE for self.

To suffer abuse, abandonment, criticism, judgment, control from another is painful no matter how old you are. There is no LOVE ever portrayed in pain caused to another especially if they claim to LOVE you! This painful type of LOVE cuts deeply into the core. We as a society accept pain as part of the path of life but it is not acceptable.

As a mother, I have raised four children with LOVE, kindness and respect. Today, I choose LOVE in all situations completely. Why? I believe that LOVE is the answer to all the craziness in life that many experience and choose instead of LOVE!

What if, we decided to live and let live as the saying goes with no reaction of anger, control, criticism or judgement towards another? It is not easy but it is time to try in some way to forgive and LOVE each other. To be kind, honest and release our own fears and embrace LOVE! If there is someone in your life filled with fear, anger and judgment know they are in pain and not capable at this time to choose LOVE! Offer them your LOVE!

Look around at those you say you LOVE …

  • Does your heart skip a beat when you see them?
  • Do you respect their choices in life?
  • Are you in awe of their sacredness?
  • Have you told them that you LOVE them and showed them with an action?
  • When was the last time you took time to be with the one you LOVE  holding hands?
  • What surprise do you have planned to express LOVE this Valentine’s Day or any day?
  • Do you see your LOVED one, really see who they are as they are?
  • Can you relate with LOVE when your LOVED one needs your compassion?
  • How true are you in life to all whom you claim to LOVE?
  • Do you fear expressing LOVE because of your upbringing?
  • Can you forgive someone who has harmed you in the past, by taking their LOVE away?

“One is loved because one is loved. No reason is needed for loving…” – Paulo Coelho

Valentine’s day will come and leave and there will be tears of surprise, engagements, joy, happiness and lots of candy and flowers. For some there will be no celebrating, no joy, happiness or candy and flowers. LOVE simply is the emotion of who you are and the life you choose to live.

If you LOVE yourself you are filled with joy, respect and happiness. It is not the normal choice for many because of the society we leave in that has created this holiday as one day to tell another and show them how we LOVE them. LOVE simply is a daily, weekly, monthly and yearly emotion in life that needs to be expressed not held back or refused. Where there is LOVE, there is action, otherwise it is just another word!

What Emotions Are No Longer Serving You Today?

The language of the times has changed drastically. Yesterday no longer serves this day. As a society that is separate in our belief, we now desire to unite. There is emotional pain, fear, anger, and dis-ease of our bodies, and mind. Our souls are offering clues that there is a better way to exist.

  • We all want peace!
  • We all crave to be whole!
  • We all need self-love!

img_4422-2

The questions arise daily for many of us that we are unhappy, and being harmed by another’s, thoughts, words, and actions. At times, even our own thoughts that are negative do harm to us. The seeds of yesterday that were planted and fed by anyone who has ever caused any of us to fear, experience guilt, shame for not letting another control us, and grief at a loss of any kind need to be released.

Becoming aware is becoming awakened to the truth, passion, and purpose of our life existence. Somewhere along the path of believing in what our parents raised us to follow and all that society instills as a way to be, look and perform has created our truth to hide. As all of life is energy, money is the culprit in many relationships that manifest a form of suffering. We choose money over our passion and purpose in life.

  • We desire to be a chef, but the money is in working in our family business.
  • We want to be a teacher but there is no money for college, and we instead marry and raise a family.
  • We crave to experience life by playing music, but the money is in working with our hands.
  • We choose money over our innate gifts.

Life is a process of understanding that free will offers us the choice of how we want to live our lives. Everyone shows us who they are, by their decisions. This very day is the day to sit, close your eyes and reflect on where you are at this time in your life. What is it that you need to release that is no longer serving you. The following affirmations by Sohini Trehan are a way to look within and contemplate your beliefs about yourself daily.

“I am a divine being of light, and I am peaceful, protected and secure.”

Bring your attention to your legs at the base of the spine down to your feet.
Personal development stems from being grounded in our lives. If you are disconnected from your body and the world it is due to trust issues, not feeling safe, nourished, or healthy, that stem from your family, tribe and home experience.

  • How do you feel at this moment?
  • Are there any aches or pain?
  • Stiffness?
  • Do you fall a lot?
  • What beliefs are yours when it comes to how you were brought up?
  • Who is part of your tribe on a daily basis?
  • Do you communicate with love to one another or fear?
  • Was there any negative birth experiences?
  • Did you ever feel abandoned or felt abused as a child?
  • Any childhood surgeries or severe illness or accidents?
  • Did you move many times when small?
  • Is permanent stress part of your existence now?

Aromatherapy, by using essential oils in a diffuser like cedar or clover is beneficial. Hug a tree, yoga, Pilates, walk barefoot outside, take a hike, dancing, gardening, sun on your body. Meditate. Journal about how you feel. Visualize your roots. Sit against a tree. Close, your eyes, breathe deep belly breaths and imagine your energetic roots sinking deep into the ground beneath you. Picture them connecting you to Mother Nature and know that the foundation is a solid one to build your life on.

I am radiant, beautiful and strong and enjoy a healthy and passionate life…”

Move up to sacral, place your hands on your naval area.
What is the sensation you experience at this moment?

It is here where our emotion and pleasure exist, the divine inner child and wounded child. A person who has unhealthy boundaries when it comes to relationships, money, and sex, become a martyr. The major distinction is an addiction to food, drugs, alcohol, sex, pornography, shopping, and exercise that is excessive, and chocolate and on and on. A person who wants to control others is angry and filled with rage. They are very excessive, their belief is ‘life is about me!”

  • Are you creative in your life by enjoying what you do daily?
  • Are you whole in your sexuality or is guilt in your body from past actions?
  • Any tumors, or miscarriages?
  • Prone to negative attitudes daily?
  • Did you sell out for money, power or sex?
  • Are you chronically feeling lonely or abandoned?
  • Do you get angry when you give to others and they are unappreciative?
  • Are you sacrificing your dreams and goals for another’s approval?
  • Do you sense impotence within?
  • Do the opinions of others matter most to you?
  • Does change terrify you?
  • Are you revengeful and unable to let things go?
  • Is there a lack of ethics?
  • Are you an energy vampire?

Your body needs to move; dance, slow and sensuous or wildly abandoned. How do you feel when you dance? Indulge in a treat once a week that comforts you, take a bubble bath, use scented oils, treat yourself to lunch. Keep the sexual energy moving through fantasy, books, romantic movies or sexy clothing.

Take your hands and place them on your solar plexus and imagine the power you possess as a divine being of light and love.

  • Do you feel powerful in your daily interactions with those you love, work with and when it comes to your parents?
  • Has anyone ever made you feel shame?
  • Are you angry?
  • Who do you blame?
  • Jealous?
  • Filled with resentment?

Only you – can do for you! Laughter is the best medicine to heal. Play! Get physically outside in sports, swimming, and connecting to the earth. Get outside every day in the sunshine. Walk by bodies of water, rivers, lakes and the ocean in the moonlight especially.

“Love is the answer to everything in life, and I give and receive love effortlessly and unconditionally.”

Now you are at your heart the bridge to the rest of your body above.

  • Do you love yourself?
  • Do you feel loved?
  • Are you loving?
  • What does your heart ache for in your romantic relationship?
  • How has grief kept you stuck in a relationship because of fear, guilt, and shame?
  • What have you refused to do with passion and purpose in your life because of grief?
  • Is your heart shut down?
  • Have you felt betrayed, or rejected?
  • Who do you need to forgive?
  • Are you resentful?
  • What feelings don’t you want to feel?

Being loved and loving is why you are here! Get a pet to love with joy! Meditate, journal, then journal, meditate daily! Intend to be open to loving yourself. Do what you love! When balanced with a sense of love of self and love of others a profound sense of peace and fulfillment is evident.

“My thoughts are positive, and I always express  myself truthfully and clearly.”

The throat is our avenue to communicate in life with all. Now it is time to speak your truth! In the past, did someone lie to you and you were aware of it.  In doing so, you have grown up to also lie as a defense mechanism because you are clueless as to why they lied. A pattern develops in all of us as we copy our parent’s behavior.

  • Are you honestly taking responsibility for your needs?
  • Do you say what you think or do you self-edit?
  • Do you hear and act on inner guidance?
  • Are living creatively?
  • Chronically hoarse?
  • Do you have repeated sore throats?
  • Frequent pain in this area?
  • Talk too loud, too much, stutter, or reluctant to speak?
  • Are you shy?

Purchase a beautiful journal that you will enjoy writing in daily all your thoughts, feelings and insights about you. Scream if you must! Singing lessons, chanting works as well. Pick a form of creative expression like a child; dance, voice, writing, drawing, painting, or whatever appeals to you. If you have relationships issues go to couples therapy to improve communication to connect. Surrender. Open to guidance to a higher power.

“I am tuned into the divine universal wisdom and always understand the true meaning of life situations.”

Between our eyes is our brow or third eye, which also is called our intuition. That which we see that is unseen. We store our memories and dream experiences. The imagination of the past and future is evident here. We also can go beyond our five senses and the physical plane. Discernment in our daily life of what we want to see or not choose to see.

  • Any health conditions related to the eyes, nose brain or neurological system?
  • Do you remember your dreams?
  • Are you closed-minded?
  • Do you deny or ignore the facts or truth in a situation?
  • Are you shutting off your inner guidance?
  • Do you believe your inner guidance does not exist?
  • Do you believe in a way that it is not of your moral obligations?
  • Are you negative first and project that out onto others in most situations?

You will benefit by sitting in silence through meditation, being in Mother Nature or even the act of prayer or taking pen to paper? These are the tools to awaken the mind of intuition. Believe that you are intuitive! Practice visualizations. Set an intention and commit to listening within for direction. Honor the information with your actions. Create a feeling of inner harmony by surrounding yourself with beauty that you love. Experience life as a child filled with wonder. Explore life more. Set an intention at night to remember your dreams and write down what you do in the morning. What is the message?

“I am complete and one with the divine energy.”

The crown of our head is our connection to the Divine in thought, consciousness, information, and intelligence. The whole process of knowing. Our search for fulfillment and enlightenment. Spirituality needs to be in the body and our daily lives not in our heads only.

  • Are you always in your head?
  • Do you have a holier-than-thou attitude?
  • Are you spacey?
  • At times are you dissociated from the real world?
  • Do you believe you are narrow-minded?
  • Do you have rigid beliefs?

Meditation, and prayer, as well as a sacred ritual, will strengthen you. Spiritual practices allow us to embrace the universal field of consciousness. Fear, anxiety, and anger tend to close off our connection to the Divine. Prayer, meditation offers a release from difficult emotions so that we live entirely in our unique life journeys.

  • We are all born gifted!
  • We need to discover this gift!
  • We can then live our gift with passion!

At a convenient time, take a pen and paper, light a candle and answer the above questions one by one. In doing so, you will develop a path of truth for how you want to live your life today. Your inner wisdom will guide you towards all that needs to be released by simply paying attention to how you feel in your body.

There Is Only ONE Key!

“Be an opener of doors…” -Ralph Waldo Emerson

There are many doors in life that we open as we travel our journey. It seems that we choose to be born into our specific family type to discover one key. Yes, there are confrontations and diseases, illness of all kinds and demons that we suffer. We enter life as a Spirit of Light, and we grow up not remembering who we are or where we originated.

We all get to travel many different paths throughout our lives. Different schools, jobs, and relationships all come and go. Our demons sometimes get the best of us as well. Challenges and chaos seem to be part of many daily lives. The saying goes that when one door closes another door opens in life. However, there is only one key that we need to discover to open the first door to change.

“You have to believe. Otherwise, it will never happen…” – Neil Gaiman

It is a belief of many that this is it! We are here! We live! We die! The end! Some of us believe in reincarnation and that we will get the chance to be born again after we die because our souls are eternal. Karma is another example of what goes around comes around, or what you do to me, I will eventually do to you. There is a belief that we manifest in our lives lessons we need to learn lifetime after lifetime.

“A very little key will open a very heavy door…” -Charles Dickens

My understanding is that we are here to discover one key in life and that is the key to LOVE! If we wake up one morning and feel that life sucks, we are miserable, hate our job, do not understand our spouse and even dislike who we have become, well, change is needed. Fear is the culprit for staying where we are not happy. Fear of change. Fear of blame. Fear of not being loved. There are many fears and reasons, but as a Spirit of Light, you will know when it is time to make a change.

“Beliefs are choices. First, you choose your beliefs. Then your beliefs affect your choices…” – Roy T. Bennett

We are all Beings of Light, and we come to our earthly homes to discover that Love is the key that opens the door to our freedom. Many of us know that there is more to life, even a better way of living life but fear locks us in place. Look around at your life and imagine that you can live your heart and souls desires whatever they may be now. Can you believe this?

The tool that one must discover for making a change in their life is:
A shift of belief …

  • To awaken to know your Soul is the first door of many that love opens
  • That you as a human are a vehicle, for the Soul is pure light born as a baby to grow and experience free will
  • There are lessons chosen by Self of Soul that you decided to learn from
  • The Soul is eternal love and focuses on bringing Light into your life
  • You are a Being of Light with a mission of awakening, which is due to all that the Soul has experienced every lifetime
  • To change is to know that there is more to your existence in life
  • Your Challenges and Chaos have all been agreed on but forgotten
  • To Be a Being of Love, You Must Choose Love
  • Remember You are Love, but first, You are Light.

There was a time during this life experience that I filled with fear. Fear of EVERYTHING! I walked the path of my journey connected to the challenges, and chaos in life growing up. Yet, I survived and the significant change I made was to get to know me which led me to LOVE MYSELF, the one key! A Belief of Self then led me to open all the doors that I needed to live my Passion of Self and Purpose of Self.

Today, I trust that there is a process to live because I believe the Universe. I am aware that there are no mistakes and that anything is possible with Love! We as humanity residing at this time on Mother Gaia need to look within, connect to our Light and change our beliefs to manifest being responsible for our actions in our relationships to live our universal truths.

Happy New Year!

“If you want to live a happy life, tie it to a goal, not to people or things…” – Albert Einstein

We are preparing to let a year-end and another one to begin. The coming year 2019; holds surprises, losses, sadness, joy, kindness, happiness, and memories to cherish. Some of us will make new friends and some of us will release friends. There will be weddings and divorces, births and deaths.

  • How will you plan for 2019?
  • What action do you need to take to implement your plan?
  • What goals are you setting?
  • How will you contribute to life in general?
  • How does the big picture in your life look?
  • What are you letting go of?

I want to share with you a process of deeply looking within and answering the following questions. There does not need to be a surprise in 2019. You as a Divine Essence of God have the power to manifest your heart’s desire.

“Courage doesn’t happen when you have all the answers. It happens when you are ready to face the questions you have been avoiding your whole life…” – Shannon L. Alder

  • Who do you believe you are?
  • In life daily, who do you show to others, that you are?
  • Do you have boundaries set?
  • How accepting are you?
  • How rejecting are you?
  • Who and what do you let in? Why?
  • Who and what do you keep out? Why?
  • Who are you connecting to through communication in your world?
  • What kind of relationships are you forming?
  • What engages you in life?
  • Are you learning something new?
  • Is your life coherent?
  • Are you creating wholeness around yourself?

I have been witness to the power of taking pen to paper since I learned how to write. A form of the depth of discovery of self becomes insightful as one goes within. We as a society are bombarded by the beliefs of a world that is an illusion. The truth of self waits to be awakened by the action of our thought process.

In 2004, I received the words; “find that which creates freedom of thought!”  Hmm, I thought to myself what does that mean? I was clueless! I was enticed by the words especially ‘creates freedom!’ The journey began and I learned through the discovery of self that I had certain beliefs and truths that were gifts of mine to embrace. I learned to disengage from anything that was no longer serving me

After answering the above questions, may we all embrace the new year with a sense of belief, knowledge, and discovery of our truth of self? We as a society of human beings are desirous of a plan to move forward. The truth is that if there is no action taken there can be no freedom from the despair in our lives. There is a part of us that seeks a form of personal growth and self-mastery in our lives. The truth of who we are is in the answers we discover as we go within.

“Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that…” – Martin Luther King Jr.

In reflection, as I embrace the coming year 2019, I must admit I have lived the simple words of the above sentence to “find that which creates freedom of thought!” Connecting to the light within through the written word allowed me to create a life filled with freedom when I changed my thought process about myself, my life and others. I decided to choose love period.

Life today …

pexels-photo-775779.jpeg

“Love is all there is…” -LA

It is the first week in December 2018 and also the last month of this year. I smile to myself reflecting on these past months and the changes I have been guided to make. In January 2018, I was inspired to ‘pause’ my life. I eliminated social media, working with clients, and I even stopped blogging for a few months.

I was on a path once again in search of what? We, you and I are the same. This I know for sure. We are one. We want and need love in our lives, to be loved, accepted, seen and filled with passion daily. We need to have a purpose. I discovered that I needed to begin at the beginning. Clueless as to where that was, I went back to 2001 where the journey of my education into the realm of  Spirituality began.

“When in doubt, choose change…” -Lilly Leung

As an avid reader my entire life, books have always fueled my soul. I graduated from high school in 1969 was married in 1971 and a mom in 1977. Empty nest syndrome after raising four brilliant children took me on a journey into life in 2001, experiencing all that I needed to release and to empower myself by loving who I am as I am. Schools, Teachers, online Workshops and Retreats would nourish my body, mind, and soul.

As women, we are born into a role that is generational in many ways. My mom had many rules. Her major one was ‘dressing the bed’ immediately upon awakening. I was raised to be a wife, mother, and homemaker. I was to nurture and nourish my husband and children. These were her greatest tools she gifted me with: to food shop, cook, clean, iron and do it all with love. I also learned the power of being silent from her. In reflection, I have to acknowledge that I continue to do as I was raised. WOW! Amazingly my mom raised me well.

“Each person’s task in life is to become an increasingly better person…” -Leo Tolstoy

The many life changes I have manifested since 1969 has been always filled with love. I recall, when I wanted to go to college to be a teacher. To be told by my parents, “no,” because I would get married, have babies and keep house, did not upset me. It was the silence within that fueled me to go with the flow! I agreed! Why go to college? (Afterall, my parents only went up to the 6th grade themselves!)

It’s the ‘pauses,‘ we take in life that light the way to connect us to our truth. It’s 2018, and IAM an Evolutionary Guide; Teacher of Spiritual belief, blogger/writer and I empower others to live their truth by my alternative beliefs as a metaphysical practitioner. We as a society believe that we know what is best for others but the truth is we do not! We are all teachers and we all have lessons to learn. It is in accepting people as they are that is the greatest of challenges. Everyone shows you who they are by their words and actions! All you have to do is pay attention.

We as spiritual beings have an inner guidance system that plants the seeds of our dreams to manifest when we begin to water them. I am living proof. It may have taken me a lifetime, but I know that which fuels my soul and which I am passionate about is being of service.

This being of service comes in the format of saying ‘yes’ to life, this life today! I have learned that I can only change myself. I cannot change another! Family drama is the biggest relationship issue in most families. Still, everyone has free will to do as they please during their life experience. Look around at those you have relationships with and the many choices they make in life that are harmful to you or another. Accept them! Pray for them! Love them! That is all that is required of any of us.

When it comes to being of service the choice one chooses may be any of the following …

  • sharing stories through the written word or in groups,
  • listening to another’s story of fear, pain, sorrow with an open mind,
  • praying for others and sending them energy and love always,
  • being present and aware daily by choosing love and kindness to express at all times.

Being of service is a free action and plan that can be incorporated into all our lives; women, men, and children! The only cost is to open our hearts with love and kindness! To not be critical or judgmental! Mostly, to be aware of our thoughts, words, and actions! To do no harm is key to being of service. We must always remember that our children are watching us and we are their teachers!

“Never, never, never give up…” – Winston Churchill

It may sound simple but is it? Since 2003, I learned the power of positive thoughts and emotions that affect the body, mind, and soul. It’s interesting when we catch ourselves with negative thoughts and words towards another. The truth is we become ill. It is a darkness that settles within and must be released with thoughts of love, joy, kindness, and acceptance.

Life, today for me, has gifted me with endurance, strength, adaptability, and wisdom. These are the qualities of letting go and trusting that God has a plan for everyone.

  • Endurance to accept others as they are.
  • Strength to not be judgmental or critical of another.
  • Adaptability to go with the flow in all situations.
  • Wisdom to accept others to choose how they want to live their lives.

During my ‘pause’ I went deep into the depths of my being through meditation. I also became a vegan after watching the movie “What the Health?” Super herbs, Superfoods, Juicing, Raw foods, Minerals, and educating myself on all that would inspire me to live a healthy life began this year.

A change was surfacing once again in my life. I would discover a past teacher, David Wolfe and a new teacher Lars Rain Gustafsson and his online teaching platform The UEXL Master Mind Club Membership which is a Professional & Personal Development Mentorship Community. (bodymindinstitute.com) I signed up to learn how to set up my online teaching platform that will be birthed in 2019.

Miracles and the unseen world of spirit developed through going within and enlightened me to a new path of service by taking me into the world of the internet. I look forward to my online teaching platform in 2019. I learned that silence is the essence of my truth. It has served me well to be silent during challenging times.

In the next few weeks, the holidays will welcome in a New Year! Goals will be set, as we plan for the big picture of our lives,  by taking action, and what we can develop for personal growth will set us on our way for 2019.

If you set any goals, may one of them be to choose Love in all confrontational, ugly, unkind, situations? This does not mean that you have to continue to be in a relationship with such a person. Accept their choice and move on! Many of us believe we need to make things right but we do not! We cannot! All we can do is accept one another with love in our hearts for ourselves and them.

My list is a small one but accurate for me at this time on my journey:

  • to open totally to Source for spontaneity,
  • to share all the wisdom and knowledge I am gifted with as an Evolutionary guide through my online community by teaching universal truths,
  • to love all of life and be in harmony with; people, animals, nature, and God.
  • Mostly to continue learning for my self-mastery as a responsible, being of freedom, to contribute to humanity in service!

Being grateful can mean many different things to most people. There are sadness and sorrows in life that are part of the journey but what about the good memories? If we reflect on our lives and move forward from the fears and pain there can be a ton of gratitude to acknowledge. Simply, bless everything as a lesson learned.

Yesterday, for me was not as simple as it is today because my thoughts were not mine. Yes, there were circumstances in my life as a child that I had no control over; addiction, abandonment, abuse, death, and loss of self. Then one day, I relived the memories in my journal and chose the process of forgiveness, and a lesson learned. I was grateful for the experience of this life I chose with my parents and moved on. I simply said, “thank you!”

  • Who has not lost a loved one, through illness, suicide, cancer, an accident or killing?
  • Who hasn’t had a lesson to learn.
  • An acceptance of forgiveness to offer?
  • A karma to heal?

Hopefully, this is the moment for us to reflect, bless, forgive and move forward filled with gratitude for the lives we are manifesting and living daily. We are the only ones that can make changes in our lives. We are in pain as a society at this time! We are angry! We are disturbed by the political choices that separate us!  Yet, we do not realize that to make any kind of change in life we must change ourselves first. With a change, comes growth! We are powerful!

I am living a blessed life and I am loving life because of all of the above. I have no regrets because of the belief system that I incorporate into my life daily through prayer, meditation, taking pen to paper and getting outside in Mother Nature.

Right before I go to sleep after I say my prayers, I bless and thank all that I communicated with during the day whether in person, on the iPhone, iPad through text or FaceTime calls from my grandchildren, especially. It is a wonderful time to be alive, I believe. I AM GRATEFUL!

Golden Rules for Personal Growth, Stimulation and Self-Mastery …

We as a society struggle daily with the news, politics, and relationships in our personal choices. How can we be responsible, excited, in harmony and creative within our own lives? I have developed these golden rules to unravel the fear, guilt, shame, and grief that followed me in my life since a young child. It is an interesting journey the path we travel when we are aligned with our soul’s truth. In doing so, we nourish and nurture the part of ourselves that falls into the category of self-love.

The Golden Rules for Personal Growth Stimulation and Self-Mastery are:

Mother Nature – Prayer – Journal/Writing – Meditation

“And into the forest, I go, to lose my mind and find my soul…” – sun-gazing.com

Interestingly enough, the first golden rule that I developed was to connect to Mother Nature. A simple, free inclusion into a daily life of being outside in any form that we will benefit from. A walk around the block. Sitting under a tree or as a child, I use to climb trees in a park near my home with my brother. If I remember correctly, I think we actually named our trees.

At a young age, I learned never to disrespect Mother Nature. Swimming at the beach was a favorite, walking along the waters edge breathing in the salt air even captivated me later in life. Sunbathing is a time when we can relax and let the sun warm our bodies. Hiking in the woods as well as sitting in the woods are simple and effective for the changes we desire in life  The act of being outside a few times a week away from electronics and breathing in the elements of earth, water, fire, and air are part of a significant golden rule. This golden rule allows us to be clear of mind and not to make assumptions in life.

“Prayer does not fit us for the greater work: prayer is the greater work…” – Oswald Chambers

Raised by any kind of religion that is our foundation comes with prayers. Praying connects us to the Divine Intelligence that we believe. Any positive word of love, and joy, as well as a blessing bestowed on another, is a form of prayer. Yes, we all have our favorites but when we acknowledge that our thoughts manifest our lives we pay attention to the words in our mind and the words that fall out of our mouths as a form of prayer. There are three superpowers that we all possess: thought, word, and action!

Growing up I never understood why people were mean and hateful with their words. I was very conscious always of how hurt I would become when someone was vicious, mean, critical or condescending to me. It filled me with a ‘zap’ of fear, guilt, and shame that lasted for years. I felt that I had done something wrong. I learned through the act of prayer to be the best that I could be in life. By paying attention to my own thoughts, words and actions I have changed my life for the better. Simply by switching from a negative thought to a positive thought takes a second. If I catch myself with words filling my mind that are not positive, I repeat three times, cancel, clear, delete!

“We write to taste life twice, in the moment and in retrospect…” – Anais-nin

The benefit of the third golden rule is when we take a pen to paper in a journal. As a form of release and detaching from the fears, of guilt and shame that I experienced it was my greatest moments in life that I adhered to as soon as I could write.

The simplicity of talking to oneself in a book through the written word and releasing what did not serve me helped me to understand human nature and why people spoke and acted the way they did. Yesterday I was clueless about the power of the ego that dwells in the realm of fear. Many in my life were fearful and projected this unto me as a child. In my journal, I could release the fear and heal myself. It was a journey of going within to discover my truth and to not take anything personally.

Writing has many forms besides keeping a journal! You can keep a Goals Book, and a To Do List Book. Every morning I write whatever goals I am interested in achieving. Then I go to “The Notebook” and write all that I desire to accomplish during the day.  It can be anything from journal writing, Facebook,  writing my blog, posting my blog, emails, food shopping, bills, or banking. Then I check each one, as I accomplish said task.

At the end of the day, I go over the few and sometimes none at all with a yellow highlighter so that I carry those forward tomorrow. This form of writing keeps me responsible for myself every day and I found it extremely beneficial. When you think in your head about what you want to do it slips out of your mind and disappears.

“Meditation can help us embrace our worries, our fear, our anger; and that is very healing. We let our own natural capacity of healing do the work…” -Thich Nhat Hanh

pexels-photo-267967

Late in life, I discovered the true power of this last golden rule that I practice diligently. Meditation has healed me in many ways. I am now calm,  filled with inner peace and in harmony while experiencing fun. I accept that there is a plan as well as searching for a better way to live my life.

My teacher, Deborah King states, “Meditation will help you tune into your waking life in a way you never thought you could experience. Your consciousness will expand. You will be able to tap into the universal energy that will assist you in healing yourself and your life. Meditation paves the way for emotional healing. On an energetic level, meditation will assist you in removing any blockages that come from holding onto anger and resentment. Meditation ushers in what may be the most important part of the energy healing process, forgiveness.”

I have found that I am loving life. I am blessed by the power of connecting to Mother Nature, my daily prayers, taking pen to paper, and of course daily sitting in silence twice a day for twenty minutes in meditation. There is a deep power that I am gifted by the silence of life in the twenty minutes I sit whether it is inside or outside, under a tree, at a waterfall or just in my backyard. I feel energized at times as well when in the middle of the day I choose to do my meditation practice.

I hope that you will pick one of these golden rules to start a journey in changing your life if you are having difficulty. Pick one for one week and then pick another to delve into the following week and so on. Remember consistency and staying focused daily is the most important on the path to follow these golden rules for personal growth, stimulation, and self-mastery.

Dear Self…

Please join me in this adventure by going within. I would like you to take pen to paper and write yourself a letter to you from your Higher Self. Go to that place of intuition where you know that there is a Divine Intelligence and communicate openly. You are living a human existence, but you are a spiritual being.

All of us have come here with challenges and lessons to discover who we are. We have questions, and we want answers. The process is to ask, listen for an answer, and then take action. We know to ask, but we choose not to listen to the response at times. When we make no effort, there can be no change.

“A word after a word after a word is power.” – Margaret Atwood

Fear is the doubt of your being but not today! Today, you will go within and begin the journey to all that you are and all that you have lived through this lifetime. Your Higher Self knows all the answers because it has been with you forever. Your soul, my soul is the spiritual part of our existence and is eternal.

I believe we all have the same general questions! Take a look at the letter below and see if you can relate to the insight given. If you can connect, then dig a little deeper and ask for that which you need to make a change in your life today. Remember, we must take action to create a difference in our lives. There are no quick fixes or miracles. An act is a step that is needed to manifest and create change.

  • Who am I?
  • What is my passion?
  • What is my purpose?
  • Why am I in this situation at this time?
  • Why is this happening to me again?
  • I do not understand _______________?

Dear Self,
You did it! The silence and the unknown have brought you home. The fears, abuse, challenges, and nightmares you embraced beautifully through love and inner wisdom connects you to live your truth today.

To believe is a knowing that anything is possible! The discovery of your truth ignited your ability to change which has now led you to the light. Was it easy? No! Was their pain, yes! And, you survived!

Without questions, there were no answers; only belief. The moment of your call, your heart opened wide as it filled with love to heal; your story-your fears-your demons! Your soul will now give you a gift of hope to share.

The challenges are part of the life experience for all, but once you saw the lesson, you grasped part of your destiny. You never doubted that the process would be lengthy or complicated. The beat of your heart told you to travel the journey forward because the end was your destiny.

The ego quivered fearfully of no longer being heard, as you ran forward without looking back. It took a lifetime of many difficulties, but you chose to see with love; speak with passion and be love! In doing so, you will help many.

You did it! You changed your story to share with the world. A belief that anything is possible when one beckons the unknown to walk along the path of one’s desires and passion. In doing so, we all discover our truth of purpose. It is merely that which fuels you living as a spiritual being having a human experience.

Always, Higher

“I write to discover what I know.” -Flannery O’Connor

May the light within guide you on your path and journey of discovery. We as humans, struggle with the fears and demands made on us in life. What if, we merely went within for the answers to these demons and nightmares that grip us but which we need to release and let go of today.

Hopefully, your answers will enlighten you on that which is your purpose because you are passionate about it. In doing so, it all comes down to how we choose to live our life at this time. For change to appear on our journeys, we are the only ones who can take a step towards the action of our dreams.

The Reflection

She walked past the window and out of the corner of her eye she did not recognize herself. She trembled at her reflection. She felt like picking up a stone and flinging it at the window. Then she looked again and there she was. Her eyes were beckoning to her to look deeper.

“Sometimes, you have to look back in order to understand the things that lie ahead.” – Yvonne Woon

She took a deep breath and stood perfectly still as she looked into the window and her life. It flashed right before her eyes at her reflection. Slowly the tears began to fall. The sudden deaths, miscarriages, and divorces she had experienced. The pain of abuse, abandonment, and addiction.

Of course, she had to change. Those memories had to change how she looked to the world unless someone was to look genuinely at her. What would they see? She looked into her eyes and saw her inner self-hanging on by her fingertips. She heard the voice, ‘help me!” As she wiped away a tear, she smiled and walked away!

In that instant, the door opened to grasp the lessons that were evident in her life. Recently she had discovered that there is a reason for everything that happens in life through this power many have called manifestation. Along the way, there seemed because of this power of expression that there are no mistakes in life. We actually as humans manifest and create our existence by our thoughts, words, and actions. We have superpowers!

“Start each day with a positive thought and a grateful heart.” -Roy T. Bennett

Kindness was the word she reflected on at this moment. All she could gather was that people did not know how to be kind. Why? So she decided to be kind to everyone even strangers. What harm could come from a smile, a hello, maybe just a thank you? She started her mission that very day and was amazed that people were receptive.

It dawned on her that people were engulfed daily in their personal stories. As she reflected on this thought, she agreed because had she not also held her story close to her heart. Today, she realized anyone could change their story. There was a time where she felt the pain and sorrow daily. Not ever realizing that all she had to do is to leave the despair in the past.

She began to embrace that inner self, her inner child that had been hanging on and asked for help. She started to pay attention to those she shared her life. As she traveled to different celebrations and met many people while talking to them, she observed: that there were two kinds of people. Like her in the past, there were many filled with fear. While others mostly were happy and chose to love.

She wanted to learn how to choose love forever and ever. The journey began on that day as she searched through books, courses, retreats, and workshops to discover a new way of being. To change, forgive and release her story. In learning all about the central fear of self that stemmed from the ego, she would also determine where the self of love was. It was a simple two-step belief: choose fear or choose love.

“There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure.” -Paulo Coelho

Thinking back to the reflection of herself in the window, she realized she had been filled with fear her entire life. So she asked herself what was she afraid of most of her life? All her worries had begun in her childhood and were not of her belief system today. Cellular memories could be triggered in any situation and pop up right there, and then, and fear would rise she recalled. If there was to be no fear anymore then like her, anyone could change their story. In her heart, she believed that anything was possible.

Today, she knew deep within that there is no reason to fear. Now she looked at the choice of love which was a connection to the self within which is one’s Spirit. She knew that once connected to the Spirit of Self; love was the only option to choose. Spirit has no fear. Spirit is Love. Instead of allowing memory to surface from the past as a trigger all she had to do was embrace the choice of love no matter what was going on because fear is not real.

Amazingly, she wanted to travel this path and journey in life by choosing only love. She decided to think up a process to do so. Maybe a type of plan to follow she imagined? After all taking action is vital to change as she learned by making decisions with her heart and being logical about this process of life we as humans experience.

How does one connect to their Spirit of Self, she wondered? She took pen to paper after mediating and began with how she changed her life to be free of fear and only to choose love. Knowing today that it was a challenge and that she struggled for years merely to believe that she could.

“One should eat to live, not live to eat.” -Benjamin Franklin

Here is the plan, to taking action, while opening your heart and making logical decisions in life:
1. Speak words of love that are positive and affirm them often.
2. Learning to meditate and sit in silence while going within.
3. Writing in a journal as an act to process the past, forgive, and release it.
4. Setting goals down in a book that begins as affirmative sentences of who you are and how you want to live.
5. Creating Sacred Space in the home, with incense, candles, crystals, and essential oils where the essence and energy of the divine could enter.
6. Journeying outside and embracing the beauty of Mother Nature.
7. Reading of Spiritual books to enlighten the heart to open as to how the ways of ritual and how our ancestors believed.
8. Consuming healthy organic raw foods, superfoods, super herbs and fewer animal products, and more plant-based meals as part of daily consumption.

Life is Worth Living

At this time in the evolution of life, let us individually, contemplate the following …
1. Do you love yourself?
2. Are you healthy?
3. Do you know your purpose?
4. Are you happy?

Interestingly many will answer, ‘yes’ that they love themselves. If health is an issue? There is no clue as to what their purpose of life is? They  are not happy? Then many are lying to the depths of their inner core of self. The majority of people tend to look outside of themselves for happiness. Whether that be; material objects, food, addictive choices or merely a new relationship.

fullsizeoutput_7ba5What is this concept of loving the self all about anyway? When a man or woman love who they are in life and how they are experiencing life the following appears in their life. They take the time to nurture and nourish their body, mind, and soul. In doing so, they choose healthy foods to consume which means they do not eat processed foods.

Processed foods are all foods that come in plastic and boxes. Fast foods are the worst possible foods any of us can consume. Chemicals, genetically modified organisms are in these types of foods, as well as toxins and pesticides, especially if we are not choosing organic. It has come down to learning about ingredients in our food and what we are putting in our mouths. If you cannot pronounce the ingredients, don’t eat it!

Foods that are not real, not fresh, not healthy wild fish, not organic free-range meats are harming the body. First, we are a soul, eternal beings that need to nurture the desires of our soul by connecting to Mother Nature. Second, we have a mind that is abundant with wisdom to share with others in whatever creative outlet we desire. Third, we have a body which as a vehicle for our soul needs to be nourished to live.

We are together on this planet to grow, expand and develop our souls which are eternal. Begin by eliminating processed foods. Choose to expand our minds through the act of reading spiritual books, taking classes on subjects that interest us. Many that love themselves also love Mother Nature. That is where the magic in life happens; a walk outside, planting, growing foods, swimming, hiking, sitting in the sun, meditating under a tree. Being one with nature by being in nature is medicine!

IMG_8555When we learn to meditate which is staying focused for at least 20 minutes, we center, and ground ourselves to spirit. A form of meditation can be watching our breath go in and out. Others are; walking outside in silence, running, sitting under a tree, hiking, swimming, playing the guitar or another instrument, journaling, reading a spiritual book. We as human beings on this planet need to take the time to rest, relax and be one with spirit at least once a day.

IMG_5281When we are happy, and healthy because we love ourself, we will then discover our purpose. Whatever we are passionate about doing, creating, manifesting is our mission today. That which is part of our goal in life is to love ourselves so that we can love another? The another in life is all of life. Our relationships, with our parents, sibling, spouses, children, grandchildren, friends, co-workers, and bosses. A simple smile, a greeting of hello, acknowledgment to anyone from the mailman to the supermarket clerk will change your life.

img_6795

Let’s look at dogs for the lesson that they can offer to us when it comes to unconditional love. Dogs show us how to love unconditionally by their excitement to see us each and every time. They do not care how we look, dress, wear our clothes or how we act. They love us as we are period. I am a dog lover and have had a few dogs through my life experience. But this lil guy ‘Buddiethepom’ has an Instagram page you can follow. He is 13 years old and has a fan base. Why? He gives the essence of love to all …

If there are any health issues we are concerned about, let’s take the time to check in with what foods we are consuming. Why do we consume fast foods, processed foods, junk foods, alcohol, and drugs? If we truly love who we are as we are, we will choose more vegetables, superfoods, maybe once a week eat a vegetarian meal or even a plant-based meal. Drinking enough water with a pinch of Sea Salt is a priority in life instead of soda or chemical-filled drinks. Take a look at the benefits of herbs that are available instead of popping a pill. If you are not aware of what healthy foods are then take a course. www.BodyMindInstitute.com is a great choice to begin with to be inspired to eat healthy for yourself or if you are inclined to teach.

img_7802

If you are not happy and you want to be, YOU MUST begin to love who you are as you are. Forgive your past. Forgive yourself. Forgive everyone that may have hurt you in some manner. Bless your future. Learn alternatives to help you on this fantastic light-filled, loving world that we all live in together. We will look back one day and discover we have regrets. It is never too late to release anything that no longer serves any of us today. Hopefully, when it is our time to transition we will smile and say, “I lived a great life!”

I AM LOVING MOTHER NATURE …

“I asked myself, “do I sit here and admire the view, or do I keep going and see what is on the  other side?” Mother Nature is beautiful. She has such a wide range of emotions that it is hard not to love them all.” – Anthony T. Hincks

We as a people, spiritual beings living a human existence, are abusing our mother. We cringe and suffer from weather that terrifies us. We are extremely busy when it comes to daily disregard for her beauty. We choose to liter her paths and contaminate her fields with abusive pesticides. We destroy her trees continuously, fill her oceans with debris and plastics. We have more garbage that is wasteful, and we now need to recycle.

“Forests are the lungs of our land. ” – Franklin D. Roosevelt

Yesterday, was not so long ago where the memory of climbing a tree with my brother filled me with joy. It was then when I learned to respect mother and never liter her. There was little in the way of plastics, as well. As a family, we ate at home never in a restaurant and had no take-out plastic or styrofoam boxes to discard. Life may have been simpler only because there was less.

IMG_4208

Our mother still blesses us daily with her beauty; parks, beaches, oceans, and forests. Trees, birds, flowers, green pastures and the warmth of her sun as it shines down on our faces. We have decided to ignore our mother! In doing so, our abuse of her is destroying her. How do we begin to pay her respect for all that she has provided? We each need to ask ourselves what we can personally do on a daily basis.

Pay respect to mother by going to her beaches, taking a swim in her waters, sitting in a park, hiking through her woods. Show her that you see her. Embrace her so she can embrace you back. Open your heart to her beauty and be grateful for her belief in us as humans. Thank her. Merely say; “thank you, mother!”

Recently, I have discovered the cleanest, freshest, energy in the simplicity of walking through the woods. There is joy in hugging a tree and sitting in meditation outside. Being thankful that mother nature is there for me whenever I am in need of her sustenance fills me with happiness. To sit under her moon and be witness to her love for me. To float on her seas while surrounded by her elements in a way fills me with an energy that is bountiful. How do the elements; earth, water, fire, and air, play a role in your life?

“There is nothing more musical than a sunset.” – Claude Debussy

IMG_9219

I no longer climb her trees, but I am capable of hugging them and talking to them. I speak to the trees and thank them for their protection and shade. I am grateful for the fruits they bare for me to eat. I am thankful for the plants, flowers, and foods that I consume from the depths of her being as she nourishes me. Even her water that cleanses my body, clothes, and house and quenches my thirst I find delightful.

When mother shutters and shakes and lighting bolts roar her strength in the sky, I tremble at her anger. When her tears fall from the heavens, I imagine her sadness. At times when the waters rage and wind forces life to be unbearable, I believe how difficult it must be for our mother to cleanse herself. The moments she decides to freeze over and cover herself with a blanket of white snow and ice chills me to the bone.

img_7150
The Great South Bay

I am amazed that so many of us are clueless as to how we can help our mother in distress at this time. She cannot do it alone. It need not be only her who concentrates on raising her vibration. If we as society tried personally to raise our vibration, life would be much more comfortable. The most natural act is to acknowledge that we need her, love her and are grateful for her.

“Plant seeds of happiness, hope, success, and love; it will all come back to you in abundance. This is the law of nature.” – Steve Maraboli

To choose love, kindness, joy, and happiness as the tools of our existence can make a difference. To waste less when it comes to everything! To recycle as much as we can. To stop buying plastic water bottles. To eliminate processed foods from our diets daily that have no value to our lives. To instead bless and thank all of our mother’s plant-based foods, superfoods, super herbs, organic fruits, veggies, nuts, and grains that will nurture us and her at the same time.

We are the ones in a state of despair by our choices when it comes to how we think, speak and act. We are the most potent beings; we can ever imagine. It is time now for change, love, and kindness towards one another, as humans and the animal kingdom. In the end, the compassion and love will manifest tenfold from our mother to us.

What Right Have You Discarded Because of Abuse?

artistic blossom bright clouds

Abuse is prevalent in our society and many of our hearts are broken, dis-eased (breast, lung, thymus disorders plus asthma and immune system deficiency)  because we are in pain by a person who claims to love us. We choose especially, as women to give our POWER and OUR RIGHTS away in the name of love?

We have a chakra system within. Which are the blueprint for our soul! Our heart is the fourth chakra and ‘Our right to love and be loved.’ As well as being the bridge between the lower and upper chakras.

  • Chakra One – ‘Our right to be here’
  • Chakra Two – ‘Our right to feel’
  • Chakra Three – ‘Our right to act’
  • Above the heart Chakra Five – ‘Our right to be heard’
  • Chakra Six ‘Our right to see’
  • Chakra Seven ‘Our right to know.’

“To love oneself is the beginning of a life-long romance.” – Oscar Wilde

When our chakras are balanced, it is our right to experience the following:
– Chakra 1 / Our foundation (base of spine), we feel safe, secure and comfortable in our physical body.
– Chakra 2 / Our sensation (sacral), we feel sensual, passionate, emotional and fluid.
– Chakra 3 / Our identity/power (solar plexus), we are action-oriented, self-assured and courageous.
– Chakra 4 / Our relationships (heart) are compassionate, loving and harmonious
– Chakra 5 / Our resonance (throat), is expressive, creative and we are communicative
– Chakra 6 / Our insight (third eye/brow), is intuitive, imaginative and perceptive
– Chakra 7 / Our understanding (crown), is wise, transcendent, visionary, open-minded, intelligent and thoughtful.

Let us journey into the wounded/closed unbalanced heart chakra. It is the beautiful color of emerald-green. There are many different kinds of hearts in our society; some become damaged by fear, guilt, shame, grief, lies, anger, and hate. Some are chipped at daily by the act of mental abuse, betrayal and physical abuse from a loved one. To heal the heart, we first must examine our belief around self-love and self-acceptance. Forgiveness begins with ourselves and where appropriate towards others.

“All abuses traumatize the heart chakra as they betray love.”  – Anodea Judith

Our hearts suffer even from movies, the radio, and newspapers when we hear of killings and violence toward our fellow humanity. The abuse towards our planet bruises our hearts, as well as tornadoes, hurricanes, and forest fires. Our hearts are sensitive to what we are connected to daily whether it be by sight, sound, touch, emotional or spiritual. Sometimes in conversation one can become triggered by another. A flashback to a time when words by a loved one hurt.

If any chakra is out of balance, it is due to the act of neglect, abuse, grief and not feeling loved which affects our heart. We as a society, as parents, siblings, friends, lovers are strong. We are powerful! Our power stems from our thoughts, words, and actions. We are unaware of the damage that is done by the apparent abuse of our words towards someone we claim to love which if unkind, is a form of abuse.

Parents are influential. They can heal or harm a child that grows into an adult. Words are like swords in our heart! Painful memories in our soul! Sometimes this hurt and pain travel lifetimes with many of us. A wounded, closed heart stems from becoming detached, and refusing to change or grow towards a joyful destination in life as a human.

“Give sorrow words; the grief that does not speak whispers the o’er-fraught heart and bids it break.”  – William Shakespeare

Everyone is aware of that feeling while lying in bed when we feel an inner ache in our chest. Deep in our heart area because a loved one of ours is experiencing abuse of some kind, has a dis-ease, or has transitioned over. There is no reason for such pain in our lives, which can be healed by beginning to choose love. Peace can arrive, even if someone is no longer here through prayer and meditation. A loss is a deep pain that fills our heart with sorrow but when we choose to love we will be healed.

I believe those with deep wounds that have closed their hearts carry fear, profound grief, and criticism because they feel unaccepted and are afraid of involvement and commitment. They need to achieve some power over others to feel deserving, right and that they are in control. They may long for tenderness but due to their prior abuse from a loved one have difficulty admitting it. They are looking for approval because they believe that approval means love. What type of disapproval did they experience is the question?

“Thus children … are confronted by a tormentor they love, not one they hate and this tragic complication will have a devastating influence on their entire subsequent life. ”  – Alice Miller

Another form of abuse is abandonment that does damage to the heart. Not feeling worthy of love, no rules, and no boundaries set the child forward on a path of not believing they are essential. Something happened to these adults in the past that has been buried deep within that they refuse to release. They cling to a form of escape with a wounded, closed heart when it comes to love by not letting in any emotions or feelings to surface. It is their grief, anger, hate, and fear that they feed and nourish daily.

We will never know why but they have never felt loved or worthy of love. They live a life of pain and keep a barrier up to protect themselves. Within their essence is this belief that they are alone, separated and need to defend who they are from others through abuse. It comes down to them choosing a defensive, negative pattern.

When all our chakras are balanced, and we have a healthy heart, there is no dis-ease in the body. There is no addiction, no fear, no guilt, no shame, no grief, no lies, attachment or illusion. As these are the demons of all the chakras starting with Chakra One.

Please ask yourself at this time what demon are you feeding? What is it within you that you are nourishing daily as that demon that you cling to because of something that happened to you yesterday by a loved one. What right have you discarded because of another’s abuse toward you?

There are lessons in life, and sometimes we are not aware of the teaching until it is too late. Hurting another’s heart willingly, and consciously hurts our heart as well. Kindness, love, and support are the tools we as humans need to strive for in our relationships. If we can open our hearts to know we are worthy of love today because we are born of love our lives will manifest greatness.

After years of having our heart chipped away by abusive words, damage to our psyche and exhaustion to our mind, we hold on tightly to our innocence of self. A discovery of self-opens the door for our freedom to arrive. Sooner or later a wounded, closed heart affects all those around them. No one has the right to take away even one of the seven rights that we are born with as a spiritual being having a human experience. Know you are worthy of love today.

It Is Now Time To ‘PAUSE!’

IMG_E4219

As humans living a spiritual journey, we as a society rush around from one moment to another. We struggle with all that we have to accomplish. We become frantic this time of year because of the holiday season. Money goes on gifts that people sometimes do not want or need

Through it all, we have become a people that struggle! Whoever we are in the family or friends that we communicate with there is a struggle to behold. The biggest of these during this time of year is those that we have lost. Grief grips us in a moment and tears well up, and we remember what will never be.

“Be a reflection of what you’d like to see in others! If you want love, give love, if you want honesty, give honesty, if you want respect, give respect. You get in return, what you give!” – Unknown

It just is too much! Then we have to take into account where we are as a person in our own lives …

-Have we manifested our dreams?
-Did we do all that we said we would do this year?
-Have we been able to move forward in life more abundant this year?
-Is being happy part of our daily life? If not, what can we do to change this?

“A pause gives you breathing space so listen to the whispers of the real you waiting to happen.” -Tara Estacaan

Today is the day that you need to ‘pause.’ Sit down in silence for a few minutes and dream your dream. Take pen to paper and write a letter to yourself on how you crave to live your life. Walk outside in Mother Nature and breathe in the wonders that are waiting for you. Ask and then listen, and you will hear what to do.

DSCF0137Reflection of the self is necessary at this time of the year. We are all a year older, and life sometimes gets away from us. The chores of our daily life experience can override our hearts desires. One day we had a beautiful dream, but the next day we are living a nightmare. When we ‘pause’ we take into account that which will bring us joy and happiness. It is our right to have joy and happiness daily in our lives. Anything we need to know waits within to be acknowledged.

Many of us believe that life is meant to be difficult, that we cannot be abundant or we need to feel pain. If your life is unhappy, painful, filled with lack, or you are unhealthy, then take this day to ‘pause,’ reflect, and rewrite your dreams. We are here to love one another, raise our vibration and to be of service.

“Since everything is a reflection of our minds … Everything can be changed by our minds.” -Buddha

We each must go within to find the answers we seek. If grief is part of your experience at this moment, please celebrate the life you were blessed to be a part of so that they are free now to journey all that they can as well. There is no death, only freedom when one chooses to transition over. Breathe that in!

IMG_4209Back in 2000, all I craved was to become a better person. I became a seeker of the written word in all forms, religions, beliefs, and practices. I knew that there had to be more to life. I believed that I was to share something with the world. I had an inner wisdom waiting to ignite. I felt this in my heart and soul.

I started a journey that has been amazing, difficult, filled with love, teachers and amazing women and men. I doubted at times as well! Who was I but a wife and mother when I awakened to my spirituality. Still, I moved forward open to all that was. Eager to know who I was and where I was to go.

“Pause. Listen for the whispers of your Soul. Soul quietly flows through every part of you.” -Nancy Langston

Now all these years later, I have decided to ‘pause’ at this time and see what my next step will be. In the past, I seemed to be experiencing an unknown force taking me from this interest to that teaching, year after year; books, workshops, retreats, online classes, teachers and faraway travels.

It all began in 1988, this urge to know! Today, at the end of 2017, change surrounds me. I have experienced being a Reiki Master, Certified Holistic Health Counselor, Metaphysical Practioner, Energy Healer, a self-published Author, and blogger. I have personally offered workshops, healing circles and retreats. There have been many studies that I have undertaken and many that I have not. Today, I ‘pause!’

I am honored to be a daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend but, that is not all I am to be. There is an inner call to know my truth, live it and share all that I can to help raise my vibration and your vibration. We are all here as beings of love, to live our truth and lift each other up to be the best we can be and to be of service. Attaching each other to forgiveness is essential.

“Life is a dash. Pause in the present. Enjoy this moment.” – J.R. Rim

I encourage you to take a moment and ‘pause’ this day … We as a society need to release what no longer serves us and to slow down by sitting with ourselves in silence to know what is our next step on the path of our lives … so, pause!

-Where are you?
-Where do you want to go?
-Are you living your truth?
-Do you know what your truth is?

I, too will ‘pause,’ in the New Year to go within, read spiritual books, meditate, journal and bond with Mother Nature. I pray that you join me so that 2018 can be the best year of our lives.

BEING GRATEFUL … I AM THANKFUL!

img_4151

I am filled with awe for the life we as humans are experiencing. It’s a very exciting/emotional time. With the holidays approaching, I look forward to the decorations, music, brisk fresh air and snow. My heart skips a beat when I see the first snowfall each year. There is such a joy in the memories from my childhood and my children growing up. Now I am blessed to have grandchildren to play in the snow with.

What are the main reasons one is thankful for anything at this time of year? I always wonder at the happiness but yet sadness that travels this path during the season. Like many, I too have lost people who have transitioned home. Today, I recall the memories I shared with them and I feel grateful that we shared years and for those times we laughed together. All of our minds are filled with pictures of what was and how happy or sad we have been with certain people.

img_4155

A disease is the hardest to bear. A sudden death, so unexpected knocks one to the floor. A suicide makes us question and ask why of the universe? We cry, scream and suffer from the moment of death because of what will not be. I like to imagine and celebrate the life that was! Knowing that there is a reason that everything happens in the world, I am grateful for all those who I have travelled this path and journey with whether for years or for a short time. It is the memories which I am thankful for this Thanksgiving!

The holidays are for the children, family, gift giving and generosity. It is a joyous time for all as we fill our hearts with love for mankind and those we share our lives with. Forgiveness is key to what was but is not now possible for many. Go into your photo book in your mind and fill with glee at those happy times of yesterday. The silly times where you were excited, joyful and laughing. We all have them…

img_4126

This year I would like to bless all that have lost a loved one through the act of a hurricane, earthquake, terrorists attack, suicide, natural causes, cancer or any other disease or mass killing of any kind. Let us join together in prayer for them and for us. Set a candle in celebration for their life this year during the holidays and forgive those who are now free by their own hands. May they all rest in peace as we pray for them.

We are one in life and in death. We are one through the years. We are one in every country on this planet. We are capable of love towards each other if we just look at all that we have to be grateful for and thankful for at this moment in time. Peace of mind, love in our hearts, kindness on our lips, and forgiveness of ourselves and others will bring joy to each one of us.

img_4154

There was a time years ago, when the crack in my heart opened wider and wider. Death, depression, fear, and abuse dragged me to the ground. Now as I look back, I see that we as a society are here to be the best we can be. To take the lessons learned and thrive. To be of service, to become our truth. To live our dream and to let others live theirs.

Meditation is the tool that can rescue everyone from their cracked heart. Simple to just sit but difficult to incorporate into ones life daily. I tell many to meditate and they say they do not know how. I cannot imagine starting my day without this amazing comfort of silence in my mind connected to spirit. During this time of year, if there is sadness in your life, despair of any kind, even fear go to www.DeborahKing.com  and learn how to meditate with your own personal mantra. Trust me you will be thankful that you did.

I struggle no more! I fear no more! I despair no more! I am peace! I am love! I am joy! That is the beauty of meditation and I am thankful for being guided to have known, I needed to sit in silence yesterday, today and tomorrow. Being grateful. Being thankful. One needs to go through their mind at the end of the day and reflect on those they were with, those they spoke to, their actions and words. Then take a breath and rejoice in the life experience they have manifested. I am grateful! I am thankful! Three words that make a difference as you go to sleep.

img_4153

It matters not the news, radio, television or what others say that fill you with fear. There is nothing to fear, there is only love to be embraced, to be thankful for. We are connected by the earth we all walk, the water that flows for all to use, the fire in the sky that beams down on us when the sun warms us, and the air that we breathe. Be thankful for these elements that join us as a family of one no matter what is going on in our lives. Try desperately to remember and use as a mantra, Love is all there is!

What Do You Believe? IS HUMANITY’S SADNESS ANCIENT?

“Love life and life will love you back. Love people and they will love you back…” – Arthur Rubinstein

What does this mean?
Do we all carry buried grief from lifetimes lived?
Is the sadness within that fills our heart and daily thoughts from ancient times?
How do we survive in today’s world with sadness that is of grief from another lifetime?
Is this what the word ancient means to you? To me?
How old is your sadness?
How old is my sadness?
How old is the grief we carry in our hearts?
Is this sadness born of our emotions?

Hunter James 233

Our arms are one with our hearts, and it is this place that is our fourth chakra within our bodies. As well as our circulatory system, lungs, ribs, breasts, and shoulders. Sadness and grief stem from our heart as the demon of the fourth chakra is grief. Lifetime after lifetime it is our chakras that are the blueprint to our souls.

Babies cry at a very early age – why? Is the sadness they carry from their past lifetimes unable to be released today? Are we born over and over again to finally be beings of love? To release the fears and anguish we hold towards others today? Do you believe in reincarnation?

“You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty…” – Mohandas K. Gandhi

Questions? There are always questions to be answered!

As we struggle through difficult times can it be that the soul has a memory of the grief we lived through in all our lifetimes? Is it even possible that the emotions that we feel today as sadness is from another lifetime and triggered today in this life experience? When we have an illness of any kind in these areas of our heart, we must go within and reflect on why? Is any of the sadness we carry today our truth? Is it in any way necessary?

Breast cancer, lung cancer, are all part of the fourth chakra, our heart. Hand pain, carpal tunnel syndrome all part of this chakra. Do you believe that you are not loved? Are you grieving? Are you sad? Ask yourself why? Journal on how you think, speak and feel daily. If after three days you wake up miserable, and very unhappy, you need to make a change in your life.

“All human beings are interconnected, one with all other elements in creation…” – Henry Reed

Grief is our sadness because of the pain we felt at any given moment in time.

Why do we choose to carry sadness forward in all lifetimes!
How does one release the grief?
How does one release the sadness?
How does one release the pain?

IMG_2441

Let’s think about this ancient grief that stirs within us at any given moment. This grief is sadness that eats at our core which most likely is not even ours. Grief creates pain within our hearts that we cling to. Why? What has been done cannot be undone!

Can it be that our ancestors have gifted us with what we call today fear, pain, and sadness? Where does it come from that we still are affected by it today? Will we do the same to our children and grandchildren? Why do we not release it now? How do we release it?

Is it time for us as parents to look at life differently when it comes to our children? Can we wonder of their sadness and why they cry and act as they do? What is bothering them that we are unaware of? What are their fears? What is their pain?

Sadness for me is the memory of unjust, prejudiced, judgmental, mean, unkind and an unloving humanity towards each other. Is it possible for us as a society of humans to release the hate, anger, and fighting amongst ourselves? And if we do, say one day wake up to being the beings of love we are, will that erase the sadness and grief that we carry? That I also carry! That my children and grandchildren carry? As we are one, how can I heal to help you heal?

“An individual has not started living until he can rise above the narrow confines of his individualistic concerns to the broader concerns of all humanity…” – Martin Luther King Jr.

Have I after lifetimes of suffering as a human by hate or love attached myself to this pain and sorrow forever? If I heal myself will that heal you also? Since we are all one all it would take is for us to offer kindness and forgiveness towards those we share our lives with daily. Maybe even towards strangers would help heal us all.

In today’s world, there are many acts of violence and deaths of loved ones that stir the mind and heart to deep sadness and pain. We have no answers to the many acts of violence, terrorism, and killings that happen in the moment. Even our weather is stirring up fear, sadness, and pain. We have become troubled by the thought that fills our minds of, what is going to happen next?

DSCF0438

AFFIRM: I am choosing now, this day to release the sadness within and eliminate the grief that connects me to free myself and to free all of the humans that suffer from the nastiness of life. The nastiness of life is the unjust, unkind, hateful, mean words and actions any of us project onto another. May I forgive those who harm me, as well as, those I have harmed. May we all celebrate the lives lived that have been taken too soon. May I know in my heart that there is a reason for everything that happens in this world. Today, I release that which no longer serves me.

“Life is a process. We are a process. The universe is a process.” – Anne Wilson Schaef

Let us choose not to be sad but to embrace that we are born as beings of love, and it is now the time to open our hearts to one another. We must stop the negativity, unkind words, ugly remarks, criticism, and anger towards each other. It is now the time and age in life where it must be a choice within our hearts that life is a place of living, learning and loving one another. To move forward away from sadness, fear and pain we must embrace love and offer love towards all. Awareness and forgiveness are essential to moving forward and not getting stuck in our past or centered on our future.

As we come together in times of attack and hateful situations that harm those we love, may we open our hearts always in all situations! Why must we wait for an act of violence to join as loving humans helping one another? We are beings of love first. Choose today to offer prayers and forgiveness, as you open your heart with love for all of life.

IMG_1329

Why not choose to think before we speak, react with love in all situations, stop trying to control one another and let others live their life as they want as long as they are not choosing to hurt themselves or anyone else. Now is the moment to stop being critical and judgmental of one another no matter what the circumstance.

The sadness I carry within, and you carry as well, is the essence of all that we are witness to in life that is not of love. Let us choose love!

I LOVE YOU… DO YOU BELIEVE ME?

“Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage.” -Lao Tzu

IMG_3097

I love you! I swear I do! Yes, I do. Love is how I feel about you, I swear… I also love puppies, chocolate, apple pie, sunrises, sunsets and snow. I love the smell of fresh clothes. I love the aroma of a home cooked meal. I love candles and incense. I love the moon when it shines brightly in the sky.

Years ago, I loved ironing my children’s clothes and doing the wash. Believe it or not, I love cleaning my house. I love my life and the freedom these days to blog, read and write.

I love the way my grandchildren call me “LaLa” and how they hug and kiss me. I love watching my children as adults and now as parents. I love the sound of my grandchildren laughing. I love their voice as they tell me “I love you!”

“Where there is love there is life.” -Mahatma Gandhi

I will tell you what love feels like now. My heart swells with pride for the things I love and treasure, especially books. I can sit in my kitchen and feel part of the world as I look out upon the water. Grateful and thankful for the home I live in. I love the memories of days gone by.

IMG_2542The love I feel within thumps in my heart at the memory of my home when I am away. I crave to be back in my home. I feel safe and comforted by the surroundings of my home. I enjoy the beauty that surrounds my home daily just looking outside my kitchen.

Love is the essence one feels for another; a place, an object or simply a good book. Love is respect. Love is joy. Love is happiness. Love is all there is to attach oneself to daily.

“We accept the love we think we deserve.” -Stephen Chbosky

We as a society throw the word, love around on a daily basis towards those we claim to love! However, actions speak louder than words. Love is an emotion that fills our hearts and entire being at the birth of a baby, at a young couple on their wedding day, at special occasions and at the end of a loved ones life.

Love is the warmth that takes our breath away when we see the beauty of Mother Nature in a flower. The first snowfall can be a memory of love from one’s childhood. A walk in the woods is the essence of true love. Love waits for us to become aware of all that can be reflected as love back to us in the simplicity of life. Life is meant to be enjoyed, to actually love your life and all that you share it with.IMG_3195

“I have decided to stick to love… Hate is too great a burden to bear.” -Martin Luther King, Jr.

In between birth and death, how many times have we spoken the words, “I love you?”

  • How many times afterward have we then gossiped, abused or hated the same person we claimed to love?
  • How many mothers smother their children by controlling them constantly, verbally abuse their daughters or simply treat grown children as if they were their property?
  • How many husbands mentally mistreat their wives disrespectfully but say they love them?
  • What about the mother who tries to constantly correct her daughter and how she chooses to dress, wear her hair or even raise her children?
  • How about the dad that is short tempered and drunk who scares his child with his outbursts?
  • Where is the love?
  • How is abuse of any kind love?

IMG_3125I have become aware of this simple word that we use but which at times means nothing to another. We as a society have abused ourselves and those we claim to love! We abuse our planet daily and yet all Mother Earth offers us is love.

Many are unacceptable of their adult children and their choices in life? Many are disrespectful of their parents as grown children because they believe they now know better! Do we actually believe we know better than our parents? How could we ever know what they have known? Think about that!

There seems to be in our society a need for love. There is an emptiness to our words which we claim without emotion when we say; “I Love You!” Would you believe me if I claimed that I loved you and then when I saw you I was unkind, mean, and actually a bit nasty?

“And, in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make.” -Paul McCartney

There comes a moment in time when the word love actually means nothing to someone who is abused by another who claims to love them. Many women today believe that they are unworthy of love. Why? To receive love one must give love! Love stems from our essence. We are born love.

Life distinguishes love right before our eyes in some cases by the despair we experience. And yet we allow love to disappear and ask not why? If there is any kind of abuse in your life, that is because another’s ego is roaring fear, not love! Ask yourself, why this person has the right to abuse you? Why do you allow abuse to be part of your life? Love yourself first and only then will the abuse stop!

WARNING: It’s Time to Wake Up!

IMG_0028

“When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time.” – Maya Angelou

There are many different relationships that we will all live through. Some we will survive, and others will damage us beyond repair. Does one need to ask himself, ‘Why?’ That magic word that tears at our heart when we cannot understand the change that suddenly appears in our life.

Why seems the word that spills from our lips as tears fall down our face. For some reason, we cringe at the change that appears from nowhere. Or, so we assume! Just the word relationship holds a vice around our hearts. Whether it is a parent, spouse, child, friend, relative or boss, all relationships are complicated. All these relationships at one time will define who we are as an adult.

“Find joy in everything you choose to do. Every job, relationship, home – it’s your responsibility to love it, or change it.” – Chuck Palahniuk

We are a society that plays by the rules sometimes, and sometimes we give up on ourselves eventually because we are told over and over again there is something wrong with us. The sad part is that we believe what others say. The voice in our head stems from the view of others most likely. The damage and negativity that we heard over and over again growing up. Those ugly words!

If you create change in your life that leads you down a spiritual path of positive belief, prayer, meditation, forgiveness, and joy, then you will change how you are defined. How you believe is how you believe not how you have been told to believe by others. You have a right to be here. You have a right to speak. You have a right to your dreams. You have a right to know yourself. It is your right to wake up!

IMG_3194

It is time for all of humanity to awaken to their truth now. Not tomorrow or next month, but today! Stop letting others define who you are. Be faithful to you in all your relationships. When we choose to live our truth we make important changes which raise our vibration. We begin to live in the present and forgive the past because we cannot change it.

Begin today by raising your vibration!
– Spend a few minutes outside with Mother Nature daily
– Eat more veggies, fruits, nuts, and grains and bless your food
– Drink water that is pure in a glass container and place a crystal in the container
– Wear crystals on your body because crystal energy is what vibrates the Earth, your body and your cells. When we hold a crystal in our hand, it fine tunes our connection and pulse to the Earth – the Mother of all life here (-Dianne Robbins’ book Messages From the Hollow Earth)

“When you stop expecting people to be perfect, you can like them for who they are.” – Donald Miller

Just look around at those you love and live with on a daily basis. Do these people you share your existence with in the form of a relationship speak and sound like they are happy? Do they act joyous? Do they believe they have to be like others? Are those you live with or related to filled with positive words or negative words of speech? Do they ever stop complaining? Do you ever stop complaining about them?

No one does not have a story to share when it comes to our childhood, teen years, adult years and dating years. Some of us are married forever, some of us divorced, some widowed, some have never been married. Some of us are in a marriage we detest and want to get out of, but it is so comfortable to know how your day will unfold, so we stay. Sometimes for the children! Sometimes it is for financial reasons that we stay. But we do stay!

“To be fully seen by somebody, then, and be loved anyhow – this is a human offering that can border on miraculous.” – Elizabeth Gilbert

All of life boils down to our relationships – no matter who they are! Something that has happened in your childhood sets off a trigger today with your wife and a fight develops. (If you are triggered by another, know that there is still a lesson to learn!) You feel that your mom abandoned you when you were small, and today you feel left by a friend who no longer is part of your relationship. Your father is vicious, screams and yells about everything, so you believe that is the person you must be as well. It worked for him, you whisper to yourself, it will work for me!

You do not have to be like another no matter who they are. You can still love your parents, spouse, and friends as they are but do not get defined by others. Be You! Wake Up! Raise Your Vibration! Live Your Truth! Release what no longer serves you this very minute! Choose love not fear in all circumstances and relationships.

fullsizeoutput_697

Life is meant to be experienced daily with love, joy, happiness, togetherness and most importantly freedom. Freedom to be you, as you are. To live a life you choose to live. To share your life with others that fill you with support, love, encouragement and pure happiness when you are with them. However, we don’t know how to achieve the simplicity of such an existence.

Many of us get sucked into the belief that we have to be angry and unhappy; that we have to earn more money. We must have more things. We must work crazy hours to get more money to get more things. That is when the anger, unhappiness, and emptiness creeps into our lives and drains us. That is when we disappear from the truth of our souls. Greed developes along with the belief in materal things as a way of defining who we are. Eventually, we end up defending ourselves to others.

It takes a lifetime, marriage, many deaths, and divorces but we are very good at this scenario of not being happy. Then to top it off we blame our parents and everyone else but ourselves. When does the love of life, ourselves and others disappear? How do we get so tangled up in a loveless life? The belief of control adds to many relationships that then turn ugly and extremely confrontational. A parent tries to demand an adult child be a certain way! This is never possible, all it is is a form of abuse. There is no unconditional love evident if there is any form of abuse.

I am blessed to be surrounded by young love –  a few married for some time and then there are the newlyweds! So beautiful to witness. Such happiness and joy that has not been trampled on. It is pure love to be part of life where young love, new babies, and a journey of experiences waiting to blossom into their relationships. At this time all there is is the memory of their dreams to delight them! Everything seems to be perfect and brand new. They have their dreams and their goals set. Life is magical at this time!

“How people treat you; is their karma – how you react is yours!” – Wayne Dyer

Journal the following questions and change your life today. Not tomorrow!

When did you forget about You?
Did love of self or another begin to extinguish itself through the daily lies, defeats, and anger in your life?
Is there resentment that builds up today because of a change in your life choices?
Can betrayals of self or another stem from the foundation of the love slowly drifting away from your relationships?
Can it be that we as a society cling to the old because we are afraid of the new?          What are your fears? Release them today!
Are you ready to awaken and raise your vibration to one of love?

Always remember that Love is all there is…

The Images That Stir The Soul Stem From The ‘Lil Things!’

We all need to STOP and pay attention to our lives, the dreams we dream and the joy and happiness that we can manifest on a daily basis. It can be the ‘lil things’ that place a laugh in our throat, a smile on our lips or an opening of our hearts. The wonder of life surrounds us in the ‘lil things’ and our imagination can comfort us when our light seems to dim.

It may sound silly but my favorite car is the Volkswagen Beetle and when I see one on the road my face smiles and I giggle at how cute I believe it is. Just a ‘lil thing,’ that fills me with happiness.
img_4216

IMAGES are comforting…

I love the look of this cup. I imagine sitting in the sunlight basking in the warmth of the sun and contemplating life. I have become intrigued with golden objects lately.

It is just a cup which I can drink water, coffee, or tea from. Yet it places a smile upon my lips as I dream of placing my hand on the heart-shaped handle and feeling its warmth. It is just a ‘lil thing’ that makes me happy. As I sip my desired drink of choice, the liquid warms my throat and slides down like honey, I imagine.

img_4150IMAGES allow us to dream…

Look at this little picture of the golden moon on the sea. Beautiful! This image fills me with the wonder of life and its vastness. How serene, calming and fiery all in one picture. I can dream that I am floating on the water in a small boat and looking up at the moon. I imagine the water is still and ever so calm as I simply float in its vastness. Can you imagine yourself floating on the water as well next to me?

It seems almost like a mirror, as the light of the moon reflects itself upon the water. Peaceful! I feel so small as I look upon the glow of this moon. Yet, I know that monthly I get to view a full moon in the sky … just a ‘lil thing’ but enormous when I bask in its light.

IMAGES create wonderment …

Here is an interesting door. Looks like a small double door that goes where I wonder? Its color and type are intriguing. Where does this door open up into? Can I dream that it is a splendid room filled with wonderful artist supplies? Maybe it is a hallway that leads me to a narrow walkway towards a pool? Can it be that both doors open onto a majestic bedroom which is filled with flowing white curtains and flickering white candles? Can it simply be a doorway into a magical land of surprises and books! My mind fills with wonder! It’s just a ‘lil thing’ that excites me.

IMAGES stir our imagination…

image
LOVE IS ALL THERE IS…

Blue Water – Blue Sky – White Light – Words – You Are Loved! – Love Is All There Is!

Simplify my life. Crisp and clean this image seems to me. This image speaks to me. Look towards the heavens! Look up! Look for the Light! You are not alone!

WOW… powerful and insightful! Is there a message for me in this image? Is Love all there is in life? Seems like such a ‘lil easy thing’ to ponder? I wonder if the words are true? I feel in my heart that they must be true! I pray that they are true!

img_1167IMAGES can transform us…

A Flower! A Butterfly!

I look at this image and feel transformation is key to my happiness. Such a ‘lil thing!’ The magnitude of a small butterfly can affect us all it seems because of the wonder of its life span. Can you smell the flower and feel the transformation that is possible in your life? Do the colors warm your soul and allow you to know Mother Nature is blissful? How do you feel looking at this image? Calm? Peaceful? Magical? Enchanted? Do you react in some way?

These are just a few of the images that cross the paths of our mind’s eye daily. There are actually hundreds, maybe thousands that we are not noticing. All of our lives are extremely busy with chores, work, babies, children, aging parents, and responsibilities. However, individually we need to nourish and nurture ourselves with any of the little things in life that tickle our soul and hearts.

  • What are your thoughts on all these images?
  • How do these images make you feel?
  • Are there any images that you recall that have spoken to you lately?
  • Are you dreaming, filling with wonder, imagination and transforming in the simplicity of life that surrounds you daily?
  • Are you aware of all that is possible when you allow yourself to pay attention to your surroundings and the little things in your life?
  • Are you capable of slowing down to take notice of the little things in your life?
  • Can you bask in the glow of the moon with a beautiful cup of warmth, imagine the next door in your life that you need to walk through.
  • Or maybe there is a door you need to close at this time?
  • Can you discern the need to look above and beyond as you transform your life to be the one you desire to live?

Let us all begin to look around and pay attention to the images that stir our souls. We can choose to transform just like a butterfly and live our truth if we take the time to pay attention to our heart and the ‘lil things’ that stir us with joy daily!

  • Is there a message to discern from them?
  • Can the universe be speaking to us in some far out way through the ‘lil things?’
  • Do you have any dreams you wish to manifest now in your life?
  • Can you commit to one day a week to paying attention to the images in your life?
  • Will you promise to look for the ‘lil things,’ starting today?

HE WAS MY DAD …

IMG_8504

“I thank you for your part in my journey…”

As the only daughter of my dad, I cherished him. Today, I miss him and his wisdom. I imagine he did not have an easy childhood and one I cannot ever imagine. Born in 1927, he lived until 1998 when he died of lung cancer. He was 70 years old. His struggles were many.

img_4194

Abandonment, alcoholism, and mental illness. Dad grew up during a time that I was unaware of but heard of; that his mom at 16 gave birth to him and then left him on a stoop at the age of four. That is where his issue with abandonment took off. His father’s sisters raised him. He grew up with hand me down clothes and toys from his cousins! He never felt loved. His dad who worked on the docks of New York City was never there for him.

He told me of working nights at American Beverage Soda Company and how they wanted to give him a 25 cents raise once, but he felt he was not smart enough to be a manager. For 25 cents though, dad could get a can of soda and a sandwich he said. He liked beer at an early age was drunk lots of times but happy at those times, it seemed to me. I had no clue these episodes were what today is called ‘dysfunctional.’

“I thank you for being the reason I smile …”

As a child, I only knew what went on in my house and had no idea of what a normal, happy home life I did not have. Fear was part of daily existence when he was drinking, but the memories I choose to cherish are when he was not drinking. There is ugliness in life, but we can eliminate that which does not serve us today. We can pick what we want to remember. I felt loved by him, and that is the greatest of my memories.

img_4133

He sang drunk at weddings, and my mom would drag me into the ladies bathroom and hide because she was embarrassed. Alcoholism would be passed down to him from his family. And so the story moves forward. Married young to my mom, they would raise my brother and me to the best of their ability.

I was blessed to have missed the gene of addiction. I feel all through life our connection was about his wisdom and how I decided somehow at a young age to love my dad unconditionally. I felt he was the way he was because of his childhood. Today I know we all have our stories and in sharing them, we may help another. I trust that the Universe waits for our reaction to the experiences during life and how we decide to live our lives. Choosing love or fear is always our free will in all situations.

The mental illness did not arrive until he was forty years old when he heard voices to murder his family. Instead, he slashed his left wrist and neck. Years later, he told me he could not see himself harming me. He would laugh and say if he had murdered all of us, he would have served 25 years in prison and then would have been free. I guess he never felt free in life and that troubled him. He survived his attempt at suicide but was deformed and never worked again.

img_4235

I was heartbroken to the depths of my soul, my mom was terrified, and my brother started his addiction process. The journey began with him going in and out of mental institutions like Creedmore State Psychiatric Hospital, and different psychiatric wards. I was there for him with my husband for thirty years after my mom finally divorced him. He nicknamed me ‘mom’ and ‘author,’ and we would laugh about this. He always adored me and wished his mom was more like me. The reason he called me ‘author,’ was because he wanted me to tell his story. He was very interested in human behavior and all the people who were ill that he met throughout his life. He believed that there was a reason for everything that happens.

The lung cancer that killed him had started 58 years before he died. Through it all he loved life. He worshiped Mother Nature and her beauty. He was addicted to her ocean, pools, and parks. He never drove a car and walked everywhere or took mass transit. He was wise, fun and wanted to be loved. It was my job to love him, and I did with my entire heart and soul. This Father’s Day he is gone nineteen years, and I think of him often. Individual songs that he sang when he was drinking pop on in the strangest of places at restaurants, and we say, ‘hi!’ I smile in acknowledgment of his presence.

“Dear Past, thank you for all the life lessons you have taught me …”

“Dear Future, I am ready now …”

His life may have been traumatic, but it never allowed him to feel sorry for himself. He loved music; all kinds, playing cards, whistling, worshiping the sun, walking outside and listening to the radio. Movies and Elvis Presley and other stars of his era were his favorites. These are my memories of a man who I had chosen to be my dad, and I would like to thank him for being the best dad ever.

image
LOVE IS ALL THERE IS…

His love of me allowed me to feel cherished and special even though he was scorned by many as a mentally ill person in our society. There is sadness in how his battle in life was to encourage me to be the woman I am today and what a sacrifice he chose for me. I am his proud daughter because of him. I am who I am today because of him.

As a society, we need to accept everyone’s story and embrace one another with kindness and love. It is not difficult to be there for another who you have manifested as a being in your life for a reason. We are born to learn from one another as well as teach one another during our life experiences. Was it easy at times, no! But! He was my dad!

“If the only prayer you ever say in your entire life is “Thank You,” it will be enough …”

Happy Father’s Day to the many fathers with their issues, addictions and unbalanced behaviors. Please know that, you are loved!

THE WONDER OF MAGIC = PLAY

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to ME …

IMG_0272

Daily I awaken to the wonder that surrounds my existence. Feeling blessed for all the experiences I have journeyed through in life. I am aware that not everyone believes as I do. I wonder why? As I travel forward on a ride that has filled me to many levels of emotions, I smile at the memories. Like a cup, my cup has been filled and drained over and over again. Good times, sad times, turbulent times, but in the end an invisible force has lifted me beyond whatever I was struggling through magically.

“If you enjoy living, it is not difficult to keep the sense of wonder.” – Ray Bradbury

My grandson Hudson asked me, “What is magic?” Life is the magic of course, but six grand babies under the age of eight are clueless to life as I have seen it. To witness my childhood is impossible for them. Even when I tell them how I love my iPhone, iPad, and MacBook. They know of no other way. A year before my first grandson Hunter James was born the first iPhone was also born. It was a magical time for me taking pictures of him. Magic! Is this not all magic, I ask? When I open my car by touching the door handle, I smile, this is magic. Then I start my car without a key, but that which is a key sits in my pocketbook. Pure magic!

IMG_0360When my daughters and grandchildren FaceTime me, I laugh, this is magic. Recently, my daughter Jess was in Vietnam and texted me a message and posted photos on Facebook and Instagram. Hello, is this not magic! When I wake up in Florida and go to sleep in New York the same day, this is magic. When I watch my daughter or son hug their children, I experience the deepest magic of love swelling and opening my heart. As I become witness to life growing and moving us all forward to greatness. There are numerous magical happenings in life all around everyone. We choose to accept it all and not be amazed at the wonder of it all. Stop taking life for granted! Fill yourself with wonder and look for the magic in your daily life.

“He who wonders discovers that this in itself is wonder.” – M. C. Escher

Aware of energy the way that I am, I marvel at the sadness and darkness that has befallen so many of us. Fear is evident in our world. We fear our country and our lives. We fear what tomorrow will bring. We fear what tomorrow will not bring. We fear what we will loose. We fear what we will gain. Please listen to me there is no magic in fear. Love carries the jewel of magic. Love feeds the soul magically. Love opens doors. Love lets in the light and eliminates the darkness. Love is the foundation of magic. Love is that part of us that trusts that there is a reason for everything. Love is the key to our raising our consciousness.

There is no reason for anyone of us to worry. Just choose to believe that which will set you free because you trust there is a Divine Intelligence. Whether you believe in God, a Creator, Angels, Saints or not there is an essence bigger than any of us. There is some Divine Intelligence that we are all connected to as one. This Divine Intelligence is a field that surrounds us daily even if we are unaware. Many of us are still asleep, and there is no wonder in our lives. We cling to the negative, the darkness that we adhere to is only to survive because we refuse to change our thoughts, words or actions.

IMG_0281

“As long as I’m still moving in that direction – toward wonder – then I know I will always be fine in my soul, which is where it counts. And since creativity is still the most effective way for me to access wonder, I choose it.” – Elizabeth Gilbert

When we pay attention to our dreams and ask for a message at night magic becomes part of our existence. Many say, “I never dream!” Not true! You do dream you just do not remember it or choose not to remember it. Right before you close your eyes for sleep, go into your mind and revisit your day and be grateful for everyone you traveled with through this day. Then ask; “What do I need to know?” Now go to sleep! The message in a dream is the magic of your life.

At times I battle the human part, my ego self and I feel less attached to a magical life. Then my spiritual part awakens me to my God-self, and I smile once again at the wonder of magic in my life. I am blessed because I can now tell the difference between the fight or even why there is to be an inner battle. I know that the ego loves to roar and throw me off track. When my ego succeeds, I feel off. It almost seems as if I am tested to feed that human part of me. It is that part that I refuse to continue to nourish. That humanity part of me has guided me to where I am today because it awakened the soul part that rested silently waiting for the right time to emerge magically. My journey is soul-infused by choice. My choices attach me to a magical existence because I believe there is magic throughout my day.

“It is a happy talent to know how to play.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

When we meditate daily, we magically surrender to all life offers us. Magic is the wonder that escapes the negative. The negative person clings to their fear and doubt of self because they have been programmed to grow up, be an adult, to work, to strive for more. There is no magic in living a negative life because of fear and doubt. As children, we were all filled with wonder and play. What is the greatest memory of that moment where you played? That moment where you roared with laughter, joy and complete happiness. The very time that you forgot about fear.

img_1018

My greatest moments growing up was being outside climbing a tree, swimming, reading a good book and writing in my journal. Reading a book was play for me. Books were wonder, excitement, laughter, joy and happiness. Finally, I have returned to hours of the magic of my childhood. I no longer climb a tree, but I do hug them. Even as I type at this very moment a smile escapes my lips and my eyes light up at the wonder of my MacBook Air as I move my fingers across the magical keyboard that places my words on a screen. Yes! I am having fun! Writing is – Pure magic!

THE MEMORY OF HER HANDS

IMG_0265

“Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage…” – Lao Tzu

I am amazed at the thoughts and images that pop into my mind since the passing of my mom. It is shattering to realize the truth of death, the final vision of the person I loved. It is three months the day after Mother’s Day as her ashes sit on my mantel. Her wish to be placed in the water on the way out East that we travel in our boat. Still, I am not ready to let her go again. It comforts me her being here even if it is just her ashes. This process is a sharp cut to my heart; death, ashes, placing them in the water! Emotionally even if in my heart I know she stands right by me on the other side of the veil.

“Children are the anchors that hold a mother to life.” – Sophocles

For some reason, it is her hands that I remember most. I can picture in my mind her slender fingers, manicured nails. Later in life, she would hold her index fingers up crippled from arthritis. So crooked she would tell me they hurt as she tried to straighten them but couldn’t. I can remember we held hands whenever we were walking side by side somewhere. Our fingers laced together – her fingers so cool to the touch I now recall.

As her daughter, I am witness to seeing her in me at times. A flash of insight or quick look or glance in a mirror as I walk pass. I smile at these times to myself, that yes I am her child. Sometimes the simple way I sit when watching television or drink from a cup recalls to mind a picture of her. She was twenty years older than me. I can remember her as an amazingly young woman at heart.

IMG_0262

Since her transition, I have been delving into my life growing up with her as my mom. I’ve asked a few questions of myself and have come to know some interesting aspects of her and who I was to her before the onset of dementia. As a metaphysical practitioner, I know of the power we possess to manifest our lives by our thoughts, words, and actions. We are powerful in manifesting everything we want and do not want in our daily lives. We do not realize the strength of our personal beliefs.

Metaphysically dementia’s probable cause and belief is a refusal to deal with the world as it is. Hopelessness and anger. If only my mom had chosen to believe she was in her perfect place and that she was safe, I wonder how free she would have been of her nightmares all of these years. Her anger was part of her fear that she imagined due to the losses in her life.

I only recall the stories she chose to share of her childhood, her belief in God and for years her nightly reciting of the rosary. Not having a wealthy upbringing and being one of nine children during a very different time in life than how she raised me, I praise her today for doing the best she knew how under the circumstances.

“Many of our fears are tissue paper thin and a single courageous step would carry us through them.” – KMH

She survived it all; fear, alcoholism, abuse and death until she could no longer close her eyes and be witness to the pain anymore. Dementia crept in slowly at first until she was no longer the woman I knew her to be. It is a slower death to the person and the family then choosing to die. I write choosing because I believe we choose our life experiences and all that we want to learn in life from our parents, our children, the place of birth, family and friends as well.

IMG_0302

We are born to love, heal and grow our souls. To love unconditionally all, to forgive, awaken to our truth and our freedom. However, many of us like my mom become frozen in the depths of their fear – their past. They cherish what never was possible because of death, and then cling to their pain daily and stay in the mindset of fear. For many the greatest of fears is death!

“Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other’s eyes for an instant?” – Henry David Thoreau

My mom never knew of her greatness. Her entire being became engulfed with too much fear of life and what it could do to her. I saw as a young girl how terrified she was of my dad and how she finally had to walk away from the fear after twenty-five years. When my brother was killed suddenly by a drunk driver on his way home from work, she began her descent into escaping from this world as she knew it. The pain was unbearable, and her grief took her away from my family and me when she chose to leave New York and move back to her hometown in Puerto Rico.

At first, I felt abandoned, actually for years I felt that she left me. Today, I know it was her grief that she tried to get away from and it had nothing to do with me. Recently, my son told me that he felt that she abandoned him and his siblings as well as, me twenty-six years ago, I was surprised! It is during these types of a moment that forgiveness comes into play. I believe she did what she needed to do at the time to survive the pain. It never helps to take anything someone else does personally. Many have trouble speaking their truth and fear is part of the anxiety of their day. It is all they know and cannot express their feelings. I believe this was true of my mom.

“Motherhood is … difficult and … rewarding …” – Gloria Estefan

images-3

Recently, I have been thinking about my life with my mom and my thoughts about her as a mom. Today, I know she did the best that she could, and my favorite memory of her was her childish behavior at times and holding hands with her whenever we walked somewhere. I would like to say to her that I understand and I know she loved me in her way but could not handle the pain and fear. I no longer feel abandoned by her actions to move away from my family and me. The greatest sadness I felt at her passing was that she had never met my six grandchildren. Then I think to myself can this be part of the plan that we agreed to at one time in spirit form. It matters not anymore because it is in the past and can never be any other way. I must stay in the present! To do so, I must live out my dreams. These were her choices and as her daughter I respect them. Fear was her choice for her entire life. Had she chosen Love things would have been different. There are not many choices but only two that we all get to choose from. Ask yourself how do you choose to live your life? Is it with fear or love? Fear is the roar of your ego from within. Love is the whisper of God from within. Choose wisely!

“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” – Eleanor Roosevelt

At this time in my life as a wife, mother, mother-in-law and grandmother I thank my mom for all that I learned from her. I am who I am today because of her choices. I discovered my truth, my passion and who I want to show to the world as a spiritual being bursting with unconditional love to share. There was a time twelve years ago when I asked her to come back to New York and live with me. She refused! She believed she would ruin my marriage and her fears would destroy her and me. That was when dementia climbed into her mind and settled in for the journey. I thank God for this life experience with my mom, and I am forever grateful that I chose her.

Today, as a woman, I am blessed to know I have always been able to live by my strength and beliefs. I feel sad that my mom never knew how strong she was and that she loved me unconditionally and I had never realized it before. I always believed that I was a teacher to my children as all moms are. I was setting an example which I hope today they can realize themselves. Mothering a child is about unconditional love because loving them as they are is key to their fulfillment.

“Motherhood: All love begins and ends there.” – Robert Browning

My mom never tried to change me, nor did she try to influence me in any way to be different than I was. I can hear her voice if I close my eyes and listen to how proud she was of me as a mom and wife. I am happy to write that was a great lesson for me to learn from her. Today, during this month of May when we celebrate our mothers, I wish to say to mine, “thank you, mom!” Take a moment and say this simple prayer as well … “thank you, mom!”

THE ESSENTIALS OF GRIEF, LOSS & FEAR

“Death is not the greatest loss in life. The greatest loss is what dies inside us while we live…” – Norman Cousins

I’m wondering if there are tools to help one process the death of a loved one. I believe it does not matter as much as who died, when or where but that they are no longer here. We cannot see them, talk to them or touch them. What do we grieve most then; the touch of them, not ever seeing them again, or the absence of their voice.

  • What are we grieving?
  • Why are we grieving?
  • Who are we grieving?

My mom lived in Puerto Rico for the last 26 years while I lived in New York. She had dementia and did not know me or anyone else for the last few years. Then she was gone. I was motherless! I became fatherless in 1998! I cried for that which will never be and for that which had not been. Yes, I cried tears that filled up my heart to bursting. For me, because she was simply no longer here on the planet with me. Sharing the air, I breathe daily. Looking up at the moon and stars that I loved. All these years I just knew that she was here, only far away which comforted me in some way.

Then one day I was filled with a deep calmness when I realized she was finally at peace, resting and smiling down at me. It was her life, not mine that she lived. It was her life to live as she chose because God gives us all ‘free will. Slowly it dawned on me one day, how we accomplished a perfect teaching as mother and daughter together this lifetime.

Finally, I looked back at our relationship and all that I had learned from her. I felt blessed that she was an amazing teacher. I felt happy that I had chosen her to learn from all that I could. To be the wife and mother, I am today because of her. I remembered her and how she laughed, how I felt laughing with her. The little gifts she always needed to purchase for me when I was visiting her. She had a talent of nourishing me with food and love when it was just the two of us, many yesterdays ago.

“In three words I can sum up everything I’ve learned about life: it goes on…” -Robert Frost

I honored and respected her always even when I felt abandoned by her. Today, I understand it was her grief that she became stuck in when my brother died in a head-on collision by a drunk driver in 1988. It wasn’t me! It was her loss, fear, and sorrow. Fear was the foundation always of her existence, in that she chose dementia to escape into, to survive as long as she did. I recently went and bought her favorite perfume from when I was young, and every morning I spray my space with her and say, “Mom, let’s start the day together!” And off I go knowing she is by my side.

I imagine you are like me struggling with a loss of some kind. It doesn’t always have to be a death. It can be a divorce, a job, a friendship that ended or just that we cannot find where we belong in life. Maybe what we are grieving is not about another but our grief at this time. The simple end to something or someone!

Can it be that we are grieving our loss, our fears, and our sorrow? It has nothing to do with the deceased. Our heart aches and tears run down our face as we try to understand how we will exist without them. The deceased are at peace. But, I can’t imagine even if that is possible the way we carry on about them leaving us. They must feel guilty and sad!

“The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man who lives fully is prepared to die at any time …” – Mark Twain

Whenever I pass a funeral procession, I say a prayer for the living family and friends of the deceased. As well as, a prayer that the living let the dead rest in peace. I have read that everyone handles grief differently. Some have regrets. Others have a fear of death. Some of us get stuck deep in our minds and cannot comprehend the loss, as my mom did. We cannot handle our grief! Maybe it is time to look at the reasons why we struggle with grief in such a heartbreaking manner.

For life and death are one, even as the river and the sea are one. – Khalil Gibran

  • What can we do, when our hearts break apart violently because of the death of a loved one?
  • How can we survive the loss of friendship, job, or even a divorce?
  • Are there any tools that we can grasp onto which will help us to heal?

Fear of our death is the first tool that needs to be accepted. Life will always end in death for every living person, animal, insect, plant and fish. Death is the only process there is to life. We have all chosen a life experience that must begin and end. We will never have the answers for why a baby dies, or why another life lives to old age crippled with disease.

What we all must comprehend is that we chose a plan and that there is a purpose to each life. The reality is that there is a reason for everything that happens in life. Especially, today when there are so many killings across our world by terrorists, suicides, and death to drug-related deaths. I have read that we choose our life experience to either heal our karma or heal another’s karma! We agree to die at a given moment to help heal ourselves or another member of our family group because life is eternal. There is no death. There is a transition period. We need to express love.

No regrets are the second tool that many will find hard to process. Usually what we regret is an action we did not accomplish. We didn’t visit our parents, offer support to our friend, we were always abusive, negative, confrontational or we just could not be bothered with their drama. Our actions will always speak louder than our words. We all deserve a second chance, a third chance, maybe even a fourth chance!

Even when a baby or child dies suddenly or due to an illness, there can be no regrets. We must remember there is a plan. All we can do is take their death and make something good out of it. Remember you chose this life and everyone in it that travels the path along your side.

There is no loss, brings us to our third tool. Our souls are eternal. Our bodies are our vehicle. How we take care of our vehicle is a clue to how long it will last. Everyone knows how to eat and what to eat to remain healthy – yet we choose consciously to eat what will harm us. Like putting soda instead of gas in a car. We are witness to many celebrities dying of drug overdoses or obesity in some cases. Why are we shocked suddenly, as we say; “What a sin, he/she died so young?” It is not a sin. They did not take care of themselves! Their vehicle was misused and mistreated.

“The only way out of the labyrinth of suffering is to forgive…” – John Green

We must believe that our loved ones visit us in dreams, with signs, symbols, music, smell and coins. Know that the best process to help a loved one who has transitioned is to pray for them. Thank them for the time you shared, the happy and joyful memories you now possess. To continue to send them love. To forgive them if they had any additive behavior. As well as forgiving yourself! Know it was all part of the plan.

I have read that when one door closes another door will open. Divorce, jobs, relationships run a course. One knows when the reason for divorce or leaving a job or relationship is necessary if there is any form of abuse. No one has permission to verbally, mentally or physically abuse us through their addictive behaviors. It is not allowed! Many of us survive abuse to be part of our existence because we feel we are worthy of said abuse. Or, maybe we do not know how to make a change to better ourselves. The addiction in life that dulls our souls is the drama we become addicted to daily.

“Some people die at 25 and aren’t buried until 75 …” – Benjamin Franklin

When we cry, scream, ache deep within with pain it is not for them. It is for us! We hurt! The question is why? Look at it this way, you traveled a life journey with a loved one together laughing, dancing, raising children, maybe working together, or you were a child, friend, sibling, spouse or even a parent. The memories are bountiful. There are pictures, gifts received and given. Likes and dislikes shared. You cried together or wept over a sad movie or event. This life experience may have ended in a fight or not. Either one of you could have become too busy for the other. One of you may have been critical of the others choices. Life moved forward on its own, and you lost touch. It is all normal human behavior.

“Life isn’t about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself…” – George Bernard Shaw

When we forgive ourselves, we can then forgive others. There is a process to loving the self so that we can then love another. There is no reason to not pray for those we can no longer see, touch or hear. We can ask them to visit us in our dreams. To send us a sign; whether a symbol, coin, smell or memory. Trust me they are still by your side. Believe it, and they will be there for you. Fill the ache within your heart with love for them.

Our journey here is to grow our soul for our soul is the part of us that is eternal. Love, kindness, acceptance, and forgiveness are essential to offer every single one of us a chance to live a life of our dreams.

  • What do you dream for you?
  • How can you manifest this dream!
  • What do you need to change in your life to live your dream?

PRAY! MEDITATE! JOURNAL!
