THE WONDER OF MAGIC = PLAY

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to ME …

IMG_0272

Daily I awaken to the wonder that surrounds my existence. Feeling blessed for all the experiences I have journeyed through in life. I am aware that not everyone believes as I do. I wonder why? As I travel forward on a ride that has filled me to many levels of emotions, I smile at the memories. Like a cup, my cup has been filled and drained over and over again. Good times, sad times, turbulent times, but in the end an invisible force has lifted me beyond whatever I was struggling through magically.

“If you enjoy living, it is not difficult to keep the sense of wonder.” – Ray Bradbury

My grandson Hudson asked me, “What is magic?” Life is the magic of course, but six grand babies under the age of eight are clueless to life as I have seen it. To witness my childhood is impossible for them. Even when I tell them how I love my iPhone, iPad, and MacBook. They know of no other way. A year before my first grandson Hunter James was born the first iPhone was also born. It was a magical time for me taking pictures of him. Magic! Is this not all magic, I ask? When I open my car by touching the door handle, I smile, this is magic. Then I start my car without a key, but that which is a key sits in my pocketbook. Pure magic!

IMG_0360When my daughters and grandchildren FaceTime me, I laugh, this is magic. Recently, my daughter Jess was in Vietnam and texted me a message and posted photos on Facebook and Instagram. Hello, is this not magic! When I wake up in Florida and go to sleep in New York the same day, this is magic. When I watch my daughter or son hug their children, I experience the deepest magic of love swelling and opening my heart. As I become witness to life growing and moving us all forward to greatness. There are numerous magical happenings in life all around everyone. We choose to accept it all and not be amazed at the wonder of it all. Stop taking life for granted! Fill yourself with wonder and look for the magic in your daily life.

“He who wonders discovers that this in itself is wonder.” – M. C. Escher

Aware of energy the way that I am, I marvel at the sadness and darkness that has befallen so many of us. Fear is evident in our world. We fear our country and our lives. We fear what tomorrow will bring. We fear what tomorrow will not bring. We fear what we will loose. We fear what we will gain. Please listen to me there is no magic in fear. Love carries the jewel of magic. Love feeds the soul magically. Love opens doors. Love lets in the light and eliminates the darkness. Love is the foundation of magic. Love is that part of us that trusts that there is a reason for everything. Love is the key to our raising our consciousness.

There is no reason for anyone of us to worry. Just choose to believe that which will set you free because you trust there is a Divine Intelligence. Whether you believe in God, a Creator, Angels, Saints or not there is an essence bigger than any of us. There is some Divine Intelligence that we are all connected to as one. This Divine Intelligence is a field that surrounds us daily even if we are unaware. Many of us are still asleep, and there is no wonder in our lives. We cling to the negative, the darkness that we adhere to is only to survive because we refuse to change our thoughts, words or actions.

IMG_0281

“As long as I’m still moving in that direction – toward wonder – then I know I will always be fine in my soul, which is where it counts. And since creativity is still the most effective way for me to access wonder, I choose it.” – Elizabeth Gilbert

When we pay attention to our dreams and ask for a message at night magic becomes part of our existence. Many say, “I never dream!” Not true! You do dream you just do not remember it or choose not to remember it. Right before you close your eyes for sleep, go into your mind and revisit your day and be grateful for everyone you traveled with through this day. Then ask; “What do I need to know?” Now go to sleep! The message in a dream is the magic of your life.

At times I battle the human part, my ego self and I feel less attached to a magical life. Then my spiritual part awakens me to my God-self, and I smile once again at the wonder of magic in my life. I am blessed because I can now tell the difference between the fight or even why there is to be an inner battle. I know that the ego loves to roar and throw me off track. When my ego succeeds, I feel off. It almost seems as if I am tested to feed that human part of me. It is that part that I refuse to continue to nourish. That humanity part of me has guided me to where I am today because it awakened the soul part that rested silently waiting for the right time to emerge magically. My journey is soul-infused by choice. My choices attach me to a magical existence because I believe there is magic throughout my day.

“It is a happy talent to know how to play.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

When we meditate daily, we magically surrender to all life offers us. Magic is the wonder that escapes the negative. The negative person clings to their fear and doubt of self because they have been programmed to grow up, be an adult, to work, to strive for more. There is no magic in living a negative life because of fear and doubt. As children, we were all filled with wonder and play. What is the greatest memory of that moment where you played? That moment where you roared with laughter, joy and complete happiness. The very time that you forgot about fear.

img_1018

My greatest moments growing up was being outside climbing a tree, swimming, reading a good book and writing in my journal. Reading a book was play for me. Books were wonder, excitement, laughter, joy and happiness. Finally, I have returned to hours of the magic of my childhood. I no longer climb a tree, but I do hug them. Even as I type at this very moment a smile escapes my lips and my eyes light up at the wonder of my MacBook Air as I move my fingers across the magical keyboard that places my words on a screen. Yes! I am having fun! Writing is – Pure magic!

The Gift of Time!

img_1018

“The  present moment  is a powerful goddess…” -Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

The beauty of daily life is to be aware of the moment that ignites your senses to become present. To treasure these days as points of the mind where one feels encouraged to be calm, happy and grateful.  To be witness that one is  blessed with a gift that can be treasured forever. Time to be with the self allows one to know who they are. When we meditate, pray, journal, read or create, that is the essence of a life awakening to the self. Throw in the beauty of Mother Nature and bask in her love which can be a special moment in time. Being blessed personally to enjoy my daily life experience I feel completely in awe of God and His teachings as they have been shown to me. I treasure the moments we share.

“Be frugal of your time. It is one of the best jewels we have…” -Sir Matthew Hale

I travel through my day breathing in the beauty of Mother Nature that sits right outside my window. I relish in a life lived to take the time I need to nurture my body, mind and soul. Through my spiritual practice, I have focused on the benefits of meditation, prayer, journaling and reading of spiritual books which fill me with the glow of my inner being. My days are full of peace, joy and happiness. There sits within my heart a belief that I am exactly doing what I need to do at this time in my life. The thoughts of yesterday’s fears are no longer. There is nothing that can take my beliefs away from me at this time.

“Time is the measurer of all things, but is itself immeasurable, and the grand discloser of all things, but is itself undisclosed…” -Charles Caleb Colton

I have been given a gift that does not follow a world that I no longer need to be attached to. I am free. I am aware. I am connected. My past has shown me the lessons learned and that forgiveness is essential on the path for all to claim. It matters not what happened in the past only that I release the need or desire to cling to something I cannot change. This gift of time I have been granted allows me to know my truth, to know me!

“To thine own self be true…” – William Shakespeare

Life is to be lived, forgiven and shared with an unconditional love that what we do to another we do to ourselves. What connects us all is our daily actions that we take for granted. We are all one because of the energy of the following:  we walk this planet called Mother Earth, we use her water, her sun shines on us all, and we breathe her air. Imagine how this gift of oneness can benefit each of us by honoring and respecting one another completely, no questions asked. With respect, love and acceptance we embrace each other and love those we share this planet with because we can. Why not?

“The goal of life is to make your heartbeat match the beat of the universe, to match your nature with Nature…” -Joseph Campbell

img_4150

Now is the time to take the journey on your path that will set you free of your fears! The gift of time is yours to claim as a personal moment to know the God within. The tools we use to make this connection are many. Find one or more that suits you to develop your time now to develop your freedom, awareness and connection that is your personal gift to claim and unique to you.

  • Accept those you share your life with as they are.
  • Begin a Spiritual Practice of your own.
  • Embrace Mother Nature and her beauty.
  • Forgive yourself so you can forgive others.
  • Be kind to yourself and others.
  • Open your heart to know what you believe is true.
  • Love who you are as you are.

Life is Constantly Changing

“The magic of water has been in my life for years now as I wake up every day to  behold the beautiful sight of Mother Nature…”-Linda Amato

My Backyard View

As I sit here in my library and fill with a heart full of gratitude for the days that are moving me forward. I am blessed. My life is wondrous. I am connected to Spirit. This belief of mine although alternative and difficult for many to comprehend has been rooted out of the depth of my soul from many lifetimes, I believe. I can remember the day even at this moment when I wondered if there was ‘more?’ I felt there had to be more to this experience we all call life. It was then that I begged for guidance in 2003 which led me to today.

“If you can’t be in awe of Mother Nature, there’s something wrong with you.” -Alex Trebek

It seems I was never truly aware but I did know I was not alone so I just moved one step in front of the other being a good girl. Quiet and silent was my belief, after all “Silence is golden!” As a child I was stronger then my brother and mother. I could handle more at a young age. There was an essence within that told me to be kind, loving and helpful. Never ever was I to be confrontational. Why? I wonder today why I could not have the power of speech until I was fifty. My answer this day is because it served me well to be silent and allowed me to be awakened to my truth. I know this because I believe there is a reason for everything.

“The most important this is to enjoy your life – to be happy – it’s all that matters.” -Audrey Hepburn

IMG_0749Raised in a time of change I never chose to be a rebel or  hippie yet, I felt I was never in the box. I obeyed my parents, elders and everyone. I questioned if they were right in my head but I never questioned them. There was always that inner essence that guided me daily. Human behavior is something I delight in and since I began studying with Deborah King in 2012 I have learned the many reasons we as humans do what we do.

At my age today: as a daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother I realize today the importance of women in my life. I have collected a tribe of my own that I have fallen in love with and I believe it is my way of being of service to them by sharing all that I can that is of alternative belief.  To begin with there is no right and no wrong way of living YOUR life experience. How can there be such a belief. We are here because we choose to be here on this planet at this time. We are a combination of soul and human. Our soul part is love and our human part is ego. That is where the battle within begins.

“We do not remember days, we remember moments.” -Cesare Pavese

We choose which one we are going to nourish daily by our thoughts, words and actions. What do you believe today that is different from what you believed yesterday? Change is constant because there is no way we can stay exactly the same in our thoughts, words and actions unless we fuel a life dedicated to negativity, unhappiness, regret and anger as our path because of something that happened a long time ago to us. As beings of love and light it is very difficult to choose the path of the ego/human belief daily. It is frustrating to realize that being angry or unhappy is not our nature. Especially since love seeps in when we bask in the beauty of Mother Nature, see or hold a baby, a sunset, smell a rose, fall in love, make love, celebrate a wedding, or birthday or just receive a compliment.

My question to you then is why not choose to nurture your soul/love part more often. When we choose to love we choose to transition and grow higher on the path of our journey. To choose love we must forgive ourselves and anything that happened by another to us in our past. We all have a choice to live as we choose to live so go for it! Just let go of anything that no longer serves you today.

“It is as grandmothers that our mothers come into the fullness of their grace. – Christopher Morley

I have chosen love and I believe that I have been able to nourish and nurture my soul daily. Is it easy, you ask? I can honestly say it is getting easier! The wonder of my life is the children that I share my life with from the ages of 8, 6, 4, 3, 2, and 1 month. It is magical to hold a baby in your arms and know she is heaven sent as an angel to share her love and light in the world. To talk to a child and listen, really listen to what scares him or what fills him with joy. To wrap your arms around a sleeping child and carry him into his home to rest all toasty and really heavy. To bathe a child and laugh as he laughs at the wonderment of water that fills him with delight. To watch the ballerina from within surface in her as she spins around or sings a song. Then there is the child that fills your heart to bursting for the simplicity of his outlook on life. Yes, I am truly blessed.

image

I remember my children growing up and I always took time to listen to their stories and imagine today if you can, because they still reach out to me to tell me their stories. As a mother I learned the greatest of lessons from my mom to love unconditionally all, especially the children. As I sit here and type I wonder what will be because my grand babies are coming over to go in the pool and I am ready to play and swim with them because they are pure beings of love and light still and I know it. Yet, I also notice the changes that are screaming to be let free by them to be able to just be. Many children today are new souls and are clueless as to how to live in our world They need us as old souls to teach them. What better way to teach them then to love them unconditionally, hear them and explain life to them.

“A house needs a grandma in it.” -Louise May Alcott

I’m amazed at the love that fills my heart for these grand babies that are being raised by my children. I reflect back on my days of being their mom and truly can write I don’t know how I did it, except for the one fact that I loved every moment. I enjoyed being a mom and all it entailed! I live in a very large home that most days now is quiet. There is no more laughter, crying, yelling or playing. Yet in my minds eyes I can almost see them all at the dinner table. Having dinner when they were older was my favorite time as we sat for hours discussing their day. Today I believe I raised four amazing children because I simply took the time to really hear what they had to say. Now the voices of six grand babies fills my home when they visit and sadly, I know the silence will return when they leave. The beauty of my life is that I enjoy everyday just looking outside my kitchen to the love of Mother Nature that has comforted me all these years.

IMG_3635

My days are filled with a thought that there is a reason for everything. Growing up as a child of an alcoholic father and a detached fearful mother,  I have simply did as I have been told for most of my life. Silence was a means of my survival. Today I have discovered a connection to the Spirit world that embraces my silence as a grown woman. I do wonder how I survived in a world that filled me with delight at a young age, as well as, fear.

Why else would I escape into the books of my youth but to dream. How did I never quarrel with my parents or brother, only because I knew there was no need to. There seems to be so much chaos in life today that I am happy I grew up when I did. Alcohol and Fear made me who I am today. I embrace my life that I have lived with lessons learned and peace in my heart. My path has taken me on one amazing journey that I could never have imagined myself. But here I am living a life that is filled with believable alternatives that come from the universe and fills me with belief in a world that I know is truly great. I am safe and all is well.

I have learned of perception recently and how others perceive even me. I find it intriguing and interesting. There are so many emotions I can claim as my own from anger to disgust but why would I today. I have a question that I pull up from the depths of my soul in situations. Simply, “what would God do?” A small but powerful question that places me in the right frame of mind. God would do nothing but love is the answer. I pray to Him to help me to love as He does. To guide me on this journey that is left, free of the ego/personality that no longer serves me.

I would like to add that my love of the written word led me to be an avid reader but the most benefit I ever received was in writing the written word through the act of taking pen to paper for my entire life. Whether it was a journal, story or poetry I wrote. Even this  blog releases the doubts in my mind that struggle to fill me with fear or worry but which I have no use for in my world today. I came across some poetry from my past and would like to share the following poem that I wrote in the year 1993. I believe it is appropriate at this time in my life once again.

The Change

The pattern of life has been set before our time was ever a question

Can we somehow believe to make a difference with a suggestion

Adults we become, the change we will make.

In the end, all we will feel, is the pain of heartache.

Around and around, year after year, we create an existence.

Only to always believe the world as we know it, needs some assistance.

Kindness and love, can be a special part of this family.

Unfortunately, there is no time to listen to the cries we hear steadily.

There is always tomorrow, but it simply will leave.

Then its too late, the change has not come, so we begin to grieve…

gossipThe Darkness of The Ego

“The words of a talebearer (a gossiper) are as wounds, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly”  – Proverbs 18.8, King James Version

According to Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary, 11th edition, gossip means:“A person who habitually reveals personal or sensational facts about others” and “rumor or report of an intimate nature.”

We are a society that loves to talk about one another as if it is our right to trash someone else with our words. Look at the celebrities that live in the fish bowl called, “being famous.” Their lives have become entertainment for the world. And what do we do with it but soak in the gossip we hear or read about them as if we know them personally. No wonder we have developed this belief that we as individuals have the right to gossip about another. It matters not if it is our boss, co-worker, parent, spouse, child, friend or family member. If we are trying in some way to make another look bad or feel we want to hurt them with our words, then we are also hurting ourselves. It would be helpful to ask; “Why have I chosen to speak badly about ______________?”

When we choose to enter this world of darkness it is the roar of our ego. The ego roar its ugly head towards us so we can attach to its darkness of; anger, fear, grievances, hatred, jealousy, resentment or unforgiveness. The key is to forgive ourselves first in all situations so that we can forgive others and then maybe not gossip about them. We confront another with stories that may be true or can be lies because it is how we perceive the information that we choose to share. We project onto others words that are not ours to tell especially if they are harmful to someone we know or not know.

Some of us have been raised to believe that this is normal behavior. We were witness to our parents words and actions bullying us or others. As children our parents are our first teachers and we look up to them as the best possible person that we know when young. We are not aware that their beliefs may one day be different from ours. As adults we have the choice to be a being of love and light or to live by the darkness of our ego because we were raised to not know any other way.

Those who believe that they need to gossip are addicted in some way to this behavior because they feel an inner need to speak of others as if they are superior to them. We are all ‘one’ connected by an unseen Divine Intelligence so when we hurt another by our words we are also hurting ourselves as well. Sometimes we need to stop and think before we speak about the words that will come out of our mouth. Not everyone is conscious of how they speak or act or even believe they are doing anything wrong. If in any way this article resonates with you to stop and think about your words and actions, I hope you forgive yourself and become conscious.

“Kabbalah teaches us that consciousness is everything. Not only are we responsible for what we say, but also what we do and what we allow to unfold around us. Consciousness means recognizing negative situations and taking action when necessary to stay connected to the Light.” – Kabbalah Centre

LA BELIEVES IN LOVE…

IMG_3224

Why do we not choose to love in all situations?

As a woman, wife, mother and grandmother I find myself dealing with many different types of personalities that are generated by fear. I believe that we come into this world as loving beings of spirit and our purpose here is to love unconditionally. However, many believe in conditional love which is painful to behold as a child growing up. The essence of conditional love is, “if you do not do what I say, you will be punished.” Growing up in a home of fear myself because of a parent with the addiction of alcoholism I learned to be afraid. I learned to not know who I was or how to act or speak. It was this belief that allowed anger to settle into the core of my being. All I wanted to be was a child but responsibilities were forced on me at a very young age that I did not understand how to react to. A memory at 5 years of age haunts me to the point that at that moment there was no one to protect me but myself. I cringe that at such a young age I chose such a drastic defense pattern.

How does one manage  to protect themself in fearful situations?

There are characterologies or what I have learned to also be called defense patterns that we develop at a young age which are not our truth but which we pick to protect ourselves. There are only five defense patterns that we choose at one time or another because of the fears of our childhood.

Schizoid is the first defense pattern which developes before or after birth because of the trauma of  a hostile mother. This person evokes intellectualization. The eyes are vacant fixed and scared. The person is hyperactive and ungrounded. The defense action is to leave the body out of the top of their head when triggered as an adult today. The physical build is elongation with right/left imbalances because they are always twisted out of their body. The style of communication is in absolutes. There is a double bind for they believe, “To exist means to die.”  This defense pattern demands the right to be and to exist. A schizoid’s mask statement is, “I’ll reject you before you reject me!”To set boundaries are required of this person today.

Oral … developes during babyhood feeding because of the trauma of abandonment.  This person evokes mothering. The eyes are pleading like a puppy dog. This person is hypoactive with low energy. The physical build is thin with a collapsed chest. The style of communication is to ask questions. The double bind for this type of person is, “If I ask, it’s not love; if I don’t ask, I won’t get it.” This defense pattern demands the right to be nurtured and fulfilled.  An Oral’s mask statement is, “I don’t need you!” This type of person needs to own their needs and stand on their own two feet.

Psychopath .. developes in early childhood because of the trauma of seduction and betrayal by  a parent’s untruthfulness. This person evokes submission. Their eyes are compelling. Hyperactivity followed by collapse is the energy of this defense pattern. An inflated chest which makes this person top heavy is a sign of the psychopath. Their choice in communication is to dictate to others. Their double bind is, “Kill or be killed.” This defense pattern demands to be supported and encouraged. The psychopath’s mask statement is, “I’m right; you’re wrong!” This type of person needs to trust.

Masochist … Autonomy stage of growth is when this defense pattern developes because the child is controlled, with forced feeding and evacuation. This person evokes teasing. The eyes are suffering/confused. The physical build is that the head is forward and heavy. The energy level is hypoactive (internalized energy). Whining disgust is how they communicate. The double bind is, “If I get angry, I’ll be humiliated; if I don’t, I’ll be humiliated.” This defense pattern demands to be independent. The masochist’s mask statement is, “I’ll kill (hurt) myself before you do!”It is their need to be assertive, free, and open to spiritual connections.

Rigid … This defense begins in puberty because of sexual denial and betrayal of the heart. This person evokes competition. Sparkling, bright and present are their eyes.Their energy is high and hyperactive.  The physical build is a rigid back and their pelvis is tipped back. The choice of communication is as a qualifier. “Either choice is wrong,” is their double bind. This defense pattern demands the right to have feelings (love/sex). The Rigid’s mask statement is, “Yes, but…” Interestingly it is their need to connect the heart to the genitals.

SexualitySchizoid/Sex to feel life force, fantasy. Oral/Sex for closeness and contact. Psychopath/Hostile,fragile,homosexual, fantasy. Masochicst/Impotence, strong interest in Pornography. Rigid/Sex with contempt.

The defensive action of these defense patterns are: Schizoid/leaves the body. Oral/life sucks. Psychopath/controls others. Masochist/demands and resists at same time. Rigid/acts appropriately, rather than authentically.

The results of their defensive action are: Schizoid/weaker body. Oral/inability to metabolize own energy. Psychopath/aggression and betrayal/drawn to self. Masochist/dependence; inability to differentiate between self and others. Rigid/inability to experience self; world is false.

The main issue of these defense patterns are: Schizoid/existential terror. Oral/Nurturance. Psychopath/betrayal. Masochist/invasion and theft. Rigid/authenticity, denial of real self.

The fears are: Schizoid/living in human body as an individual. Oral/not enough of anything. Psychopath/letting go and trusting. Masochist/being controlled; loss of self. Rigid/imperfection.

What they have experienced: Schizoid/direct aggression. Oral/lack of nurturance; abandonment. Pschopath/was used and betrayed. Masochist/invaded;humiliated. Rigid/denial of psychological and spiritual reality.

All of these defense patterns are not their truth. This was a means of protecting themself from an adult when young. Today these patterns rise as a means of defense when they are triggered by anothers words or actions. It is a cellular memory that triggers them into their defense. At some point, the child experienced trauma severe enough to begin needing to  block their emotions and instead use a defense pattern for dealing with the world.

Personally, I am aware in refletion that I was a psychopathic mother and I would like to apologize to my children because I had to have scared them at times. Please forgive me because I was most likely  more afraid than you.

My teacher Deborah King has opened my mind and heart to be accepting of others and to know that how they think, speak and act is a defense when triggered. To not criticize or judge someone but to look for the light within which is their truth. In learning to love oneself opens the door to love others as they are. No one knows how anyone was raised and the pain or fear they experienced. Born as spiritual beings of love and light we must learn from these lessons we chose to experience and educate ourselves on a spiritual path of healing.

Today I feel blessed to be on this amazing journey we call life. I know that there is a reason for everything and that anything is possible. I am in the process of peeling away the onion of my life, layer by layer and releasing the repressed fear, greed, lies, hatred, pride and anger that no longer serves me.  All that a child at any age really needs is to know they are loved and protected by their parent. Being a parent is a powerful responsibility!

I would like to forgive my mom for I am positive today that she did the best she could because of the childhood she experienced. She was an extremely fearful woman. I am clueless to how she was raised  but she has been one of my greatest teachers and for that I am grateful.

Who do you think you are?

LA BELIEVES IN LOVE

imageA Spiritual Path into the Journey of Prayer

The definition of the word ‘prayer’ in the Random House College Dictionary states.

Prayer, a devout petition to, or any form of spiritual communion with, God or an object of worship. The act or practice of praying. A formula or sequence of words used in or appointed for praying: the Lord’s Prayer.

I believe our thoughts and words are a form of prayer. We are filled with thoughts that are negative or unhealthy in our mind every day through many different avenues. To become conscious of these thoughts and change them is a form of prayer. Everyone has known some form of prayers from their childhood but may not continue to pray them. Raised as a Catholic, I still pray the Lord’s Prayer, Hail Mary and Glory Be to the Father. However, over the years I have incorporated new prayers that I have picked up on my spiritual journey. I would like to share them with you as well as affirmations that I consider as a form of prayer. When we open our mind, heart and soul to the journey of prayer all our words count. When we pray for guidance we know we are never alone and when we ask for help we receive help. A daily spiritual path into the journey of prayer daily will change your life!

-A Course in Miracles … Father, I come to you today to seek the peace that you alone can give. I come in silence in the quiet of my heart, the deep recesses of my mind, I wait and listen for your voice, my father, speak to me today. I come to hear your voice in silence and in certainty and love sure you will hear my call and answer me.

-Science of Mind … I was told to live by some inner mystic presence. I was told to live and to love, to laugh and to be glad. I was told to be still and know of the one almighty power, in and through all. I was told to let that power work through and in me. I believed that voice and I received my good.

-Daily a.m. practice (Caroline Myss) … I am committed to feeling a bond with each person I meet, to respecting  my own integrity and honor, to living within the energy of love and compassion and returning to that energy when I don’t feel it, to making wise and blessed choices with my will, to maintaining perceptions of wisdom and non-judgment, to release the need to know why things happen as they do, and not to project expectations over how I want this day to be and how I want others to be. Finally, my last prayer, to trust the divine. And with that I bless my day with gratitude.

-Entering the Castle (Caroline Myss) … I open myself to divine guidance I surrender myself to become as a channel for grace,  healing and service as God directs my life.

-Paramahansa Yogananda … Dear Father, whatever conditions confront me, I know that they represent the next step in my unfoldment. I will welcome all tests because I know that within me is the intelligence to understand and the power to overcome.

-Marianne Williamson … Please Bless my Parents, God. Thank you, thank them for the life they gave to me. For the ways they stumbled and held me back, please help me to forgive them and receive your compensation. May their spirits be blessed, their roads forward made easy. Please release them and release me from my childhood now gone by. Release us also from any bitterness I may still hold. They paved the way, in all that they did, for where I have been has led me here. I surrender my parents to the arms of God. Thank you, dear ones, for your service to me bless your souls. May your spirits fly free. May we enter into the relationship God wills for us. Thank you, Lord, for I am now free. Amen!

-A Comforting Prayer (Sylvia Browne)… May God, our Mother and Father, and the Christ-consciousness always be with us. On this journey, let us keep the White Light of the Holy Spirit around us aways, and even though we have written our chart, may we know that there are miracles. Amen.

-Archangels (Doreen Virtue)… Dear Archangel Michael, thank you for watching over us, our home and our vehicles. Thank you for giving me the courage and confidence to move forward with my divine life purpose.                                                                                       Archangel Michael, what changes would you like to see me make in my life right now? Please clearly guide me upon the path of my life purpose.                                                         Dear Archangel Michael, please send me a clear sign that I will easily notice and understand, letting me know you are  here and helping me gain guidance and peace.

-Prayer for Peace (St. Francis of Assisi)… Lord, make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love. Where there is injury, pardon. Where there is doubt, faith. Where there is despair, hope. Where there is darkness, light. Where there is sadness, joy. Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled, as to console. To be understood, as to understand. To be loved, as to love. For it is in giving that we receive. It is in pardoning that we are pardoned. And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

-My collection of affirmations ..

LA BELIEVES IN LOVE…

Life opened an adventure for me in 2004 when I traveled to New York City to become a Certified Holistic Health Counselor at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. Exciting and very fulfilling I learned how to counsel others offering one-on-one sessions, how to incorporate a sharing library, open a business and help others find their truth. I incorporated Reiki into my sessions at this time in 2005 when I opened Believable Alternatives. I quenched my thirst for inner wisdom and belief in a spiritual journey from that day as I jumped on this ride of a lifetime.

Yearly I studied a topic that my soul led me to. Beginning in 2005 with Science of Mind which was established in 1927 by Ernest Holmes and is a spiritual, philosophical and metaphysical religious movement within the New Thought movement.

In his book, The Science of Mind, Ernest Holmes stated “Religious Science is a correlation of laws of science, opinions of philosophy and revelations of religion applied to human needs and the aspirations of man.” In his book you will find referenced the teachings of Jesus Christ, the Bible and Buddha. Science of Mind teaches that people can achieve more fulfilling lives through the practice called Spiritual Mind Treatment or Affirmative Prayer. Spiritual Mind Treatment is a step-by-step process, in which one states the desired outcome as if it is has already happened.

I found Kabbalah in 2006 and studied with a teacher as well that I spoke to every two weeks and traveled to a weekend event in Florida. Impressively outstanding I devoured these teachings for one year by scanning the Zohar daily. There are many books to read, but here are two that nourished my soul.

The Esential Zohar  by Kabbalist Rav Berg, provides a practical understanding and interpretation of the Zohar, the kabbalistic text considered by many to be the true Holy Grail. It examines its central teachings on evil, redemption, human relationships, wealth and poverty, death and the afterlife and other fundamental concerns. It offers an overview of how living by the principles of the Zohar can lead one to live in harmony with the Divine.

Taming Chaos by Kabbalist Rav P.S. Berg states that according to Kabbalah, chaos is not random but the result of an improper understanding of your own personal power and the spiritual system that can energize your life. In truth, says Rav Berg, only human consciousness and the human mind can bring lasting order out of chaos.

A Course in Miracles came into my adventure in 2007 and there I learned that The Course claims to be the divinely inspired words of Jesus Christ, and it is presented as a practical method for returning our awareness to God. The Course consists of three books: the “Text,” the “Workbook for Students,” and “The Manual for Teachers.” After reading the text I daily took to the Workbook for Students for one year as the exercises are numbered 1 to 365. It is written:

The workbook is divided into two main sections, the first dealing with the undoing of the way you see now, and the second with the acquisition of true perception. Each day’s exercises are planned around one central idea, which is stated first. This is followed by a description of the specific procedures by which the idea for the day is to be applied.

In 2008 I became a Metaphysical Practitioner graduating from the University of Metaphysical Sciences with M. Msc. degree. This is the place where I learned about prominent spiritual concepts and methods offered by spiritual traditions, teachers and writers throughout the world.

Metaphysics may be described as a spiritual / philosophical approach of a non-empirical character into the nature of human existence. As such, it includes an overlapping and diverse number of fields of inquiry. Its central precepts draw on both the Eastern and Western religious and metaphysical traditions and incorporates influences from holistic and self-help therapies, parapsychology, consciousness research and quantum physics. Mind, Body and Spirit are seen as interrelated and intrinsically connected with each other.

The Teachings of Abraham with Esther and Jerry Hicks gave me insight into a belief filled with the art of allowing our natural Well-Being to come forth. Ask and It is Given is their New York Times bestseller.  To quote a page from their Ask and It is Given Perpetual flip calendar which I have on my kitchen counter since 2009 it is written:

There is not anything in all of the Universe more delicious than to have a desire that you are a vibrational match, and – in that alignment of your being connected to Source Energy – being inspired to an action. That is the furthest extension of the Creation Process – there is no action in all of the Universe that is more delicious than inspired action.

During this ride I filled up my gas tank with many books from famous authors mostly published from Hay House in the beginning. To name a few; Louise L. Hay, Sonia Choquette, Dr.Wayne W. Dyer, Doreen Virtue, Marianne Williamson, don Miguel Ruiz, Sylvia Browne, Cheryl Richardson, Brian L. Weiss, M.D., and Denise Linn. There is an extensive list of  books I have read, as well as, workshops I attended. Even a cruise I went on to the Mediterranean Seas with Wayne Dyer in 2012.

Here I was devouring words from these many teachers and at the same time writing my book. Making Believers: “Connect to the light within…” I self-published in 2010 with Infinity Publishing. Patricia Lynn Reilly wrote the following about my book: Linda’s first novel is the story of Amanda and her mother Gracie. Although they are enveloped by shadows from the past and overcome by the painful realities of the present, Amanda and Gracie tell the story of unconditional love. Gracie dies and leaves Amanda a gift that will change her future. Then it was re-published in 2011 by Balboa Press: A Division of Hay House. It was in 2011 where I met my teacher Deborah King at an I Can Do It in Tampa, Florida where I had a book signing. I am proud to announce that I am now one of her Masters in Training as I have continued to study with her since then.

It has been a journey and path that has been an amazing ride filled with wonder and wisdom in many ways. As we are in the middle of the holiday season my gift to you is joy, peace and love at this time and in the future. I hope that my ride allows you to seek out one of your own to jump onto. Maybe take a workshop, class or just read a book that I have written about or search out the authors above. Whatever you are excited about is your passion, is your purpose in life. My passion has always been the written word in any form and to share love with everyone. Here I am today sharing my story and my ride of a lifetime, just because it was my time to grow and live my truth.

LA Believes in Love,

My role as wife and mom filled me with joy. I imagine as women that stay at home we experience the unique balancing of the stages of our children’s growth process. School, homework, tests, sports, music, dance and the many ways we need to beat the clock daily. Yet we survive it all. Dating today has amazed me raising four children as I never dated but have been with my husband since the 7th grade. Definitely different times. I have one rule and that is who they love I love.

As I witness the expansion of my family with marriage and babies I realize that generationally we are all raised in different surroundings. As such, no one can comprehend another’s childhood and acceptance is needed. Acceptance and love allows us to not be critical or judgmental. This I strive for in my life. I believe the soul aches to be nourished as we enter into all relationships. it matters not who we are in relationship with we are all given the choice of how we react to them. Love needs to be the foundation in all relationships not just for babies or our pets. When we strive for excellence others will also.

When my youngest daughter at seventeen and she left for college my life shifted.  It was a time of  deep reflection for me as motherhood responsibilities were eliminated. Three of my children moved out of the home at this time and the tears began to fall. I questioned why I had not prepared for this moment. With a deep ache in my heart I prayed to know where I was headed. The word “share” became part of my vocabulary.  As a mom for twenty-four years at this point in time, I had shared my love, time, and wisdom with my children. Now what? It is in these times of emotional sadness where we are rewarded with our purpose. An avid book person and a daily woman who took pen to paper,  I discovered God definitely had a plan for me.

Visiting my daughter in Arizona at ASU I began to read the book, You Can Heal Your Life by Louise L. Hay. The date was October 10, 2003! The definition of transformation is the act or process of transforming; the state of being transformed..

LA BELIEVES IN LOVE

The purpose of my existence has been to love and be loved. I never questioned any other way of being. I simply knew to love. It mattered not the situation or how I was treated my choice was to love. At times when fear crept into my world I wrote poetry or took to my journal to make sense of others in my life being unkind. When I became a mother thirty-eight years ago the meaning of my being here was confirmed. To nurture and nourish with unconditional love was the key that unlocked the despair from yesterday.

There was a part of me that understood the natural essence of life and how to provide with my body through natural childbirth and breast feeding a cord that would sustain us both. This wonder in my first son was a miracle with my husband that we would create a total of four times. The memories I have stored away that I treasure from the very moment I met these babies has sustained me to know my purpose. I believe that they set the stage for what I do today in more ways than one can imagine. As a single mom my children kept me sane. I realized early that I never owned them and that I was simply the means of their existence and foundation.

I deeply loved the responsibilities that came with this new title I proudly wore that I was chosen to be the mother of Tory, Tina, Nicholas and Jessica. Dinner time was family time where we gathered together to share our day and to laugh. You may wonder if there was conflict, rebellion and disagreement between these siblings and society. I fool you not and share that we existed as a family bonded by a mother that saw no wrong in her children. Boundaries were a key ingredient in their world as they grew up. Do not think that they did not call to my attention the judgmental and critical attitude of their teachers. Still, I stood firm in my belief in my children no matter what.

Children learn by love and support which they received abundantly. Who they have grown to be in essence as husband, father, wife and mother is critical to how they were raised. The two youngest ones who are not married yet still have time to choose how they will approach the world of being a spouse or parent.

What they have accomplished today is their freedom to live in a world where many have fallen victim to drugs. Is this the reality of a society that has fallen victim to substances, due to the fact of pain, choice or a prearranged contract? Why does one choose to be addicted and another not? Only God knows the answer to that.

In reality, I am a child of an alcoholic but I chose not to be one. Is there a lesson here that I simply learned that I grasped at a young age? Can it be that what I was witness to was part of the plan? As we are all children at one time raised by our parents very early on, I wonder who is the teacher and who is the student?

Today as I blog my baby has turned thirty years old. I am amazed at how time is the one thing we can not stop or change or return to in our reality of life. Time does not wait for anyone. Children will grow up with or without love I imagine. Although I do believe as a mom that my greatest and only reason for being is to love these children under all circumstances.

Who I am today on this path that I travel is because of them, my husband and my parents. Many have travelled along with me and some have stayed while others ventured away. Know that we are all here to light the way for another with love.

Transformation is next…

It has come to my attention that many do not believe as I do. I wonder if this is the inner workings of my soul that I have embraced to believe as I believe. My age is of no concern today because in the depths of my heart I always followed the desire to love and be loved. I imagined as a young girl that there was a vastness to life and learned early to be in love with the surroundings of Mother Nature on a daily basis. The warmth of the sun on my face, the freedom to walk around the block, to swim in the ocean, climb a tree or just look up at the stars and moon in the night. What do I believe that is so different from another stumps me.

I believe …

IAM a being of love and light. That I have a right, passion and purpose to be here. I trust that there is a process to life and that there is a Divine Intelligence that travels my path with me. I have the power to know that my thoughts words and action create my life. The emotions that flow from my heart fills me with compassion and love for others. As a mother and grandmother I know I must be of service to those in my family, my inner circle, as well as those outside my circle because we are all one. I have noticed that there is an inner wisdom that can be heard, seen and felt when I meditate daily. I know IAM an eternal being with a soul and that this body is just a vehicle for me to be like God and co-create my life with God! This wisdom that rests within is my right to discover and adhere to. I have lived many lifetimes and the lessons learned are part of my existence today. It is my right as a being with free will that I can travel through meditation, journey through the written word and learn as much as I desire to connect me with All That Is! I imagine that this is strange to others but comforting to me. I know that love is the key to life as well as forgiveness of myself and others. I embrace my life today as a life filled with wonder and amazing vibes of love because I believe that I live as a spiritual being in a place I call heaven on earth.

I cannot believe any other way and in doing that which inspires me to share with others I have studied simply to be able to empower those who desire love, light and healing in their lives.

Are your beliefs so different from mine? Take time to think what you believe is true for you.

The following is excerpted from Making Believers: Connect to the Light within…

SPACE

We all need a daily moment to find our space

To support one silently waiting is God’s grace

An accomplished moment of emptiness in ones mind

Shall renew ones ability with the desire to be kind

As one begins to dwell in time that is ones own

One can fulfill their destiny if they believe in the unknown

The Power of Belief

Today, IAM 62 years old and I no longer believe as I was raised to believe because I journeyed a path to find my truth. In dong so, I found that God rests within me, actually in my heart. An avid reader I devoured books on other teachings when it came to individual beliefs. In my travels I discovered prayers that comforted me as well as nourished a part of me which I call my soul. My belief in God as my truth led me to study that which opened me to a main religion which I call LOVE!

Through the act of journaling IAM able to discover a life I chose, to be a beacon of light for others. There was a time I was not aware of this light that shined from within. Today, I know it is my purpose – my passion! IAM led by Spirit! This inner voice is clearly heard by me. I follow its guidance. It is my belief that IAM never alone. I smile as I write this because I deeply know there is a comforting world waiting to be embraced by all. I trust with my heart that all is exactly as it is meant to be for me. In reflection just in this past year I notice I listened to the guidance I received and became a way shower for others. I thank you God for that!

The past year, 2013, was a year of love; celebrating birthdays, anniversaries and marriages. We all turned a year older and my two youngest grand babies completed their first year.  The months were filled with parties as we came together with family and friends as one filled with laughter and joy. I have been always looking for my place and I feel I have found my way now. 2013 was the year I began my weekly blog and gave birth to a Monthly Healing Circle of Love which has brought women together in a safe haven to share their stories. The discovery of one’s passion and purpose as I have accomplished is through many different avenues but the main sign is that which excites you and when performing it time flies by.

Meditating, praying and journaling are my rituals to start my day. The routines of  daily life are the same for many I imagine because we exist solely on what we know and how we were raised. Personally, i was never taught to meditate before I opened the door to alternative belief. However, the depth of my meditating did not escalate until I studied with Deborah King and was taught by her. I believe today that I can be the person that is calm, worry-free and accepting because of the simplicity of meditating 20 minutes a day. Praying and journaling have been part of my journey as long as I can remember but now it is consistently a daily part of my life.

Today, the fifteenth day of the New Year I look forward to the surprises that await in this coming year. The books I will be led to read. The men and women’s stories I will hear. Those people the Universe will send to me to share all that I know as a Holistic Counselor. The times we shall come together with love in our hearts as family and friends. The wonder and excitement in the eyes of my children as they are amazed by the wonder of their children. The miracles that will set us free and that will open our hearts towards one another. The joy that fills my soul when I speak to my children all in the same day. The happiness I receive when I spend time with my grandbabies. I believe I live a wondrous life experience and I do look forward to not knowing the future but opening my heart to all.

I have discovered that I have reached inner peace that comforts my daily journey through my beliefs in a universe that guides me forward in this world. Meditating, prayer and journaling have become a passion and nourishment every day. Through these actions IAM nurtured. These tools are my primary food in life, as well as, a few others I have in my tool box while living a human experience as a Spiritual being.

The following is excerpted from my book: Making Believers: Connect to the Light within…

Nourishment

I need to do this for myself

I need to find solace

I need to feel silence

Within me runs a current of energy

That desires to be ignited

And burn brighter for all eternity

God will accomplish this dream to nourish me

As I spread His Love through my creativity!

LA BELIEVES …

Reincarnation/Karma

It is a new week and I am thinking of something interesting to write about. In the world of alternative belief that I live in, I have learned to treasure the moments shared with others and all that I experience in life. There is a word I feel that many of us refuse to incorporate daily into our lives. It is ‘awareness!’

At times though, I wonder who am I? How did I get to be this person that believes so differently from others? Who was I in another life, for that matter just the life right before this one? What do I love most to do? What is my passion? Why am I here?

I learned very early on to love the written word in book form and in journaling my own beliefs. Truly my life has been to read. I spend hours everyday reading! I marvel at this time I am given to simply, read! “I am asked by those I live with, what did you do today? I always answer, I read!” I actually cannot wait to finish a book because I have a new one already waiting. Why is that so strange to others, I wonder? I believe it must be a passion of mine, right? The truth is that reading led me to serach for knowledge that I believe was my inner wisdom. My inner wisdom led me to today by awakening me to Reiki which I was told was what my grandmother did as well before I was born, Holistic Belief, and Energy Healing. I am also a self-published author of Making Believers: Connect to the Light within.

I have been told I was a teacher, a scholar, a sage, a monk, a great math teacher who wanted to play an instrument that my parents in that life forbade me to do and I waited until they died to do so. In one life, I was my husband in this life’s, mother. And in another life my mother of today did not let me marry my husband of today back then. These are just a few of my past lives as I have been told.

Of course, I do not only read as you must be thinking. I counsel others and have one-on-one sessions, I am a student with the Deborah King Center program for 21st Century Energy Medicine. I have a monthly Healing Circle of Love that meets in my home, in April I held my first Women’s Discovery Retreat through the Written Word over a weekend in Southampton. In a few months I will offer another Retreat. I meditate and pray daily and weekly I write this blog. I also babysit ( I have four grand babies) and four grown children of my own as well, that I support and encourage on their paths, along with a daughter-in-law and soon to be son-in-law!  I am also married to my childhood, one and only boyfriend for the past 42 years. I have people in my life that I adore, love and enjoy. Great family, friends and clients!

While I sit and think as I am typing here in my library of what to blog? (Yes, I have a library of many great books in my home as well as hundreds of books in my bedroom loft.) What does all of this mean exactly? I am clueless to those past lives but in my heart or I should write my soul I know all of this is connected. I am who I am today because of my past karma. I believe karma does not have to be something that is bad. It can just be that which we learned from in other lives or not and taken with us into this life experience.

I wonder if at times that feeling that one gets as a remembrance is that exact flashback to a time and place from another life that one has learned something that had meaning and was now manifesting in this life?

Can karma be a past imprint like a recording of something that we recognize from a past life?

Can karma simply be an action which is my responsibility today?

Am I responsible for things that happened before I was born?

Does karma mean that I am to see that my life is my doing 100%?

Is it true that there is no such thing as accidents?

Can I be here to enjoy life and all that my life experience offers as much as possible?

Is the saying, “it is as it is” true?

Are those in my life today my soul sisters and soul brothers from a past life experience?

I have read about cognition which is our inner knowledge/perception which has a past recording, an imprint which is our recognition; our karma. That joy is my making, experience of life, my karma. When I recognize life,  this past karma equals my sensation in life. How I handle karma is my reaction. Reaction is in my hands! Life is in my hands!

Is it possible that if we do not like or dislike anything in life  and simply experience life as it is our karma will collapse?

Can it be that we are here to enjoy and experience life as much as possible?

Hopefully life is definitely alternative and what we think we know is bigger than even that. Maybe we really do not know anything and we are re-living over and over again a past karma.

LA BELIEVES …

Relationships …

This word has been going around my mind all week. How is it that relationships are the hardest for so many? I meditated on this and I believe that the first relationship we need to manifest is the one with ourselves. I have asked myself the following and in doing so, I learned that I am capable of saying “YES!” The clue here is to say, “YES” to life.

Questions I asked myself are …

Do you like who you are? Do you know who you are? Can you sit and just be? Is silence easy for you? Are you joyful? Are you happy? Do you know your passion and purpose? Are you living your best life?

I believe that once I found  that I loved myself my perspective in life totally changed. I suddenly felt connected to a wider essence, something bigger than me. There was an inner intelligence I discovered that was calling to me. When this calling began I was in despair, filled with doubt and empty of my own belief system. I seemed to be brain washed by the society I grew up in and lived in. Today, I have learned from many teachers, mentors, and by going to workshops and reading lots of books that there is an alternative belief in life that I named believable. I actually named my counseling business Believable Alternatives in 2004. At that time I was clueless as to the meaning but today I know that there is so much out there to learn about by the simple act of meditating, sitting in silence and being aware of the beauty in every day.

The greatest of lessons for me is that I know that I cannot change another but I can change myself and in doing so, others will change around me. Acceptance of everyone as they are by seeing the light within them allows for unconditional love for everybody. No one is more special than another. We are all children of God and we have come here to live life with all its ups and downs. Its about our reaction to life and our emotions that we need to process and release.

I discovered that when I choose to not take anything personal I am at my best. I am positive in thought, word and action. Growing up in a society that broadcasts how a woman is to be a wife and mother, and in today’s world work outside the home as well, how we should look, what we should wear, what is good to eat and bad to eat, as well as, how we need to be heard because we know what is best for another. Ha-Ha! No one knows what God’s plan is for another and no one knows the depth of another’s fears and pain. We all have our triggers that were handed down to us as if our parents were giving us a unique gift. I say, throw that gift away now.

When you get to that place in your life that you know that you do not know anything you are free. All your relationships will be blessed with love. It all comes down to all we choose to be. Going to bed happy with a smile on your lips and trust me you will wake up happy. There is never nothing to worry about when you let go and let God! To travel this life living life and enjoying life by never taking anything personal because you are love, you are kind and you are joyful is the greatest of achievements to manifest. We all are given free will to choose how we want to live our lives. Go for it and see for yourself.

As we approach the day to honor our fathers. I must say that I loved my dad unconditionally from the moment I met him. He was the wisest of men for me. I miss him since he left in 1998 but I know I was a loving daughter to him and my husband was also amazing son-in-law. We talk of him even today as someone who was wise, interesting, loved mother nature and life. A positive being in the world. Yet, he was alcoholic, manic-depressant and attempted suicide at 40 years old but to me he was the best. He was unable to throw away the gift of abandonment that his mother bestowed on him and searched to be loved his entire life. I was told once by a psychic that I was the exclamation point in his life! How cool is that? He knew I loved him as he was, no questions asked. What a ride it has been.

Happy Fathers Day daddy, I will always love you.

LA BELIEVES …

Wisdom…

I imagine we are born with a deep understanding of life that sits silent until we are ready to connect the dots. In the past, I never would have imagined that I would grow up to be this woman who I am today. I believe there is this deep mystery to life and when we begin to question our own actions, how we speak and even the thoughts we think the door cracks open. Not completely open but a little bit every day! Before this opening begins we struggle through life trying to figure everything out because we have this need to know, this desire to control and this instinct that we know what is best for everyone.

I believe that the greatest of lessons to learn of course is the ability to love unconditionally. Then to not take anything personally, and to savor moments by staying present! As a mother in the past raising four children I believed I was setting an example and that I was being watched at all times by them. I knew to be present and today I am grateful that I have the memories in my mind forever of being an at home mom who stopped whatever I was doing to listen to my children. I supported their dreams, their achievements, listened to their fears and learned to respect them and to love who they love.

My youngest daughter, has decided to live far from her family and travels around the world as well as being a Recreational Therapist for those with disabilities. I look at her in awe as I am clueless as to God’s plan for her and I feel blessed that I know she does not belong to me and has her own inner wisdom that has cracked the door open early for her.

I am thankful that this inner wisdom has unfolded to show me that I have the ability to wake up in the morning daily to meditate, pray and journal as I thank God for another day to try to be like Him.

Is this wisdom because of my age? Or, is this the crack in the doorway opening wider?

I had a conversation recently with my husband about someone being middle-age … we had to smile because we are past the middle-age mark and yet I know in my heart I feel so young. I have a deep connection to that girl from yesterday and I marvel at how clueless she was about me and where I would be today.

This is the mystery of life I celebrate!

I have to smile as I think of these last few weeks and the amazing journey of life I am experiencing. While driving, I heard the following thought in my head; “you are allowed to be You!” Even at the time I imagined what a silly thought, haven’t I always been me, I asked as I laughed out loud!

Is this the time in my life where I take a look at myself and what I imagine can only be the lies of my life and  illusions of my mind? My path has unfolded to this point by the will of God. I know this to be true. I stumbled many times yesterday on this path that I know I created to learn from. However, as a daughter, wife, mother and grandmother today I have chosen my way of being as one of love, kindness, and joy. The stumbling days were filled with the fears of not knowing that I had a right to speak, know the truth and why another is unkind, abusive, detached or mentally ill.

Today I am filled with the gift of belief and faith that God is love and that is all that I need to sustain myself. The mysteries of life are the journey that settles us all on our path. I fill with an acceptance today that I have a story to share as well as everyone else. Our stories do not define us though I am learning. Our stories are that which we were given to learn from and grow. Our stories are our strength and courage to be the men and women our ancestors were not able to be.

Many of us travel daily with the memories of our past manifesting a deep sadness for what could have been or that which we believe is missing in our lives. I believe that the path of our journeying is the love, joy, happiness and creativity that was present yesterday which needs to be honored today. I have chosen to be grateful for everyone who has travelled along side me all these years. With love and thankfulness in my heart I look forward to those I shall meet in the future as they too will be a chapter in my story that I know I will benefit from.

Who am I today? How did I get to where IAM today?

These are the questions that have popped into my mind  over and over. I have struggled for years with not knowing the direction of my life. Married at twenty, raising four children and now I am a grandmother to four grand babies and still I do not know who I am. How can that be?

I have been searching it seems for my entire life for this answer. I have meditated and prayed  for this answer, as well.  I have filled many a journal over the years inquiring about an answer. I have read literally thousands of books, gone to many workshops and studied under many teachers searching for this answer. I have become a Reiki Master, a Certified Holistic Health Counselor, Metaphysical Practitioner and Author, imagining I would find  this answer. I studied Science of Mind, ACIM, Kabbalah and the Teachings of Abraham by searching on a yearly basis for an answer. This past year I signed up to study with Deborah King once again seeking to know of an answer.

I have walked the streets of my neighborhood, the mall, skipped at the beach with tears of joy waiting for this answer.

I have been called a student of life, a healer, a counselor, a comfort to many and very spiritual and intuitive  from  women and men. I wondered and was amazed at how others saw me, just maybe one of those labels is the answer?

At night when I lay down my head on my pillow, I close my eyes and have recited for the many years the following:

“Thank you dear God, Blessed Mother, Archangels, Angels, Spirit Guides, Totem animals and my Lord and my Lady Yesuah Messiah and St Mary Magdalene for this day. The moon, the sun, the stars in the sky and the earth that grounds me.. Thank you for the foods that I have eaten. I thank my Ancestors! I pray the Glory Be, a Hail Mary and a Our Father. I wait a second and pray God is Love, Love is God, God is all there is. I look within and smile to myself if I have spoken to all four of my children, especially on the rare occasion when I see all four! I thank God for another day with my husband. I say and imagine in my mind’s eye, IAM as God created me, a Spiritual Being of Light And Love. I create joyful experiences in my life, I trust the process of Life. IAM a Spiritual Healer, IAM a Spiritual Teacher, IAM a successful Author. IAM healthy, happy and whole body, mind and soul. IAM safe, IAM fearless, IAM abundant…”

It seems to me that I have struggled with God’s plan, His belief in me  because of my own doubt and disbelief in myself that I now release these questions for they no longer serve me. I believe finally I have received the answers to my questions and I can let go and let God lead me on this journey, as He has been obviously doing.

It feels great to know that IAM not in control and that there is a Divine Intelligence that is leading me to be “Me!” I have been truly led all of these years and I believe the questions stem from my ego-self but finally my God-self simply whispered a little louder. All I need to accept is that All is Well, as is…

I received a word this past week that allowed me to look at my life differently! It was just a whisper, gently heard from within but the word “PAUSE” stopped me dead in my tracks. I had to agree as I smiled, “yes, my life is on pause…” Simple and clear it was time for me to reflect, renew, and remember. I had always just moved forward in life asking no questions just going with the flow. I remembered that I never wanted for anything yet I received everything I could ever want or imagine.

As I write this Sunday, I sit in the window seat of our cabin in Upstate, NY watching the snow fall ever so gently on the mountains and treetops that surround me. It is silent in the cabin I have named, “The Palace,” as I breathe in all that I am witness to. I believe I have a connection here, on this land to Mother Earth which started as a child. As I reflect on yesterday I see that little girl I was, learning about the beauty of Mother Earth from her dad, who was an avid walker. I remember we walked everywhere our feet could take us because my dad did not own a car, otherwise we took buses and trains.

We walked through the streets of our neighborhood, the streets of Manhattan – even the Bowery and it was at a young age I learned of the homeless and forgotten men and women of our world. I was amazed and a little afraid at the men and women who approached us, but my dad told me to hold his hand. I would be okay, these people might have been doctors, lawyers, nurses and they just lost their way but they would not harm us.

The greatest of these memories is the times we went to Coney Island and a neighborhood park in Greenpoint, New York which I believed was called McCarron Park. It was there that my brother and I had our own trees that we had chosen and which we climbed and hugged when we visited. I would try and run so fast once we entered the park to try and beat my brother to our trees.

I no longer walk as much as I have in the past, I no longer climb trees, but I do still hug them! This land that we own 155 acres renews me and I believe my appreciation, my love and joy in Mother Earth stems from my dad.

This past week I journeyed to the life I have lived to reflect on who I am today. I learned that I need to renew myself, to pause and just remember how great my life is and has been. This I believe in my heart but I know it stems from deep within my soul.

I also remembered this week that as a little girl, a teen, a young woman, wife and then mother I did want to be a writer for I have always been an avid reader. I wanted to tell stories that in some way would and could put a smile on another’s face, maybe let them reflect, renew and remember.

GOD DOES NOT BLINK

… God rests within the heart of each one of us while the soul awaits the connection of body and mind into a spiritual being of wholeness. There can be no truth, no wholeness felt if there is no belief in God.

What would it take to learn to not blink? When we choose willingly to not react to another’s fear and anger we bring God into the moment.

What would it take to be silent? When we choose to know the person before us is doing the best they can we bring God into the moment.

What would it take to not take another’s words personally? When we know within our heart that this person before us has been conditioned from childhood to believe as he/she does it brings God into the moment.

What would it take to bless another? When we know in our hearts that this person before us is a creation of God and by God it brings God into the moment.

What would it take to see God in all? When we smile with love in our soul at the fearful person before us and know that they too are here to awaken to God’s love in their heart when the time is right will bring God into the moment.

What would it take to be witness to the truth of another and to know that there is no right or wrong way to be? When we fill with unconditional love, silence, belief in God and know and trust that life is about the lessons we are here to learn brings God into the moment.

Try for a week to incorporate the six above means of not blinking at another in any situation that arises by bringing God into the moment and be witness to a change in your life experience …

GOD DOES NOT BLINK

…There comes a time in life when the soul leads the heart to know the truth of the mind. It is then that inner peace is felt and the truth of one’s belief system is that there is nothing to be said because the essence of connecting to God is more important than being right. One cannot be right or wrong when one believes only God knows the truth of each reason for being.

The mystics of yesterday that prayed and vowed silence at times filled with a belief of being simply one with God all of the time. To pray constantly throughout the day is to offer the heart of the mind and soul, as well as, the body up to God. To know and believe that there is only God and life in truth is only a test to see how we handle the situations in our life.

The fear of the mind, the guilt of the body, the shame of the soul and the grief of the heart fill the lies of the voice to create an illusion one is not able to see and an attachment of false belief for all. What are these fears but that one is inferior because the body betrays us to pleasure it which allows shame to take over the soul for the actions performed. WIthin reason the heart fills with grief for what is and for what is not while the voice speaks of dishonesty and disbelief creating lies we tell ourselves as well as whose we lie to. Before one is aware we are unable to see the truth and illusion is easier to live with as we attach who we are to the materialistic wants of life.

All in all God is the last thought and the ego equals all the fear we fill with as a means of controlling who we are and how we treat another. Unless in some way God is evident in the daily creation of belief in our lives there can never be the voice of love to be heard.

This is the truth of the reason God does not blink because he waits for us to experience the lesson we came here to learn from so that we can go within and be one with Him …

GOD DOES NOT BLINK

… Why do we react (blink) to every word that we do not agree with?

Is it possible to not blink as God does?

How do we stop, look and listen without getting into a confrontation?

God does not blink is my mantra now when someone believes they have all the answers and know everything. It allows me to smile at myself and realize only God knows what is going on in any situation at any time.

Kabbalah teaches that we react to others in situations and create chaos and pain to enter the relationship by getting into a conversation that can only be deemed confrontational. The battle begins and the words that are spoken and painful in some form or way once said cannot be taken back The tears well up, the anger is ignited and fight begins. Everyone believes they are right. What if what one is arguing about is truly of no importance but actually a waste of time, energy and words. In reality it all comes down to someone being right and someone being proven wrong.

In the past I prayed when I felt a confrontation was upon me. I felt the attack and the words of abuse but I centered myself and in my head I prayed a Hail Mary. It calmed me and took me out of the moment so that I could not react and release the other person from what they wanted, which  was a fight to prove they were right and I was wrong. It is very easy to forget though and sometimes before I knew it I was talking too much and getting too heated. Talking too much and feeling the heat rise is another lesson to learn to be silent and not confrontational. Sometimes we all need to let go and let God …

GOD DOES NOT BLINK

Negative language stems from a belief in negative thoughts and behavior. Negativity is fed and nourished to exist by abuse that was part of your life experiences which led you to be controlling because you feared what happened to you could happen to another. However, the controlling then leads you to be condescending and critical as well as judgmental towards those you travel through this life experience with.

This negativity leads you to be opinionated because fear is your religion and love is not possible in any way or form because your life is not what you expected it to be. How do you believe you have the right to harm another in any way or form? You may believe you know but only God knows who we are, who we can be, why we are here and what lessons we need to remember and incorporate into our lives. God loves us unconditionally and that is why He does not blink …
