Golden Rules for Personal Growth, Stimulation and Self-Mastery …

We as a society struggle daily with the news, politics, and relationships in our personal choices. How can we be responsible, excited, in harmony and creative within our own lives? I have developed these golden rules to unravel the fear, guilt, shame, and grief that followed me in my life since a young child. It is an interesting journey the path we travel when we are aligned with our soul’s truth. In doing so, we nourish and nurture the part of ourselves that falls into the category of self-love.

The Golden Rules for Personal Growth Stimulation and Self-Mastery are:

Mother Nature – Prayer – Journal/Writing – Meditation

“And into the forest, I go, to lose my mind and find my soul…” – sun-gazing.com

Interestingly enough, the first golden rule that I developed was to connect to Mother Nature. A simple, free inclusion into a daily life of being outside in any form that we will benefit from. A walk around the block. Sitting under a tree or as a child, I use to climb trees in a park near my home with my brother. If I remember correctly, I think we actually named our trees.

At a young age, I learned never to disrespect Mother Nature. Swimming at the beach was a favorite, walking along the waters edge breathing in the salt air even captivated me later in life. Sunbathing is a time when we can relax and let the sun warm our bodies. Hiking in the woods as well as sitting in the woods are simple and effective for the changes we desire in life  The act of being outside a few times a week away from electronics and breathing in the elements of earth, water, fire, and air are part of a significant golden rule. This golden rule allows us to be clear of mind and not to make assumptions in life.

“Prayer does not fit us for the greater work: prayer is the greater work…” – Oswald Chambers

Raised by any kind of religion that is our foundation comes with prayers. Praying connects us to the Divine Intelligence that we believe. Any positive word of love, and joy, as well as a blessing bestowed on another, is a form of prayer. Yes, we all have our favorites but when we acknowledge that our thoughts manifest our lives we pay attention to the words in our mind and the words that fall out of our mouths as a form of prayer. There are three superpowers that we all possess: thought, word, and action!

Growing up I never understood why people were mean and hateful with their words. I was very conscious always of how hurt I would become when someone was vicious, mean, critical or condescending to me. It filled me with a ‘zap’ of fear, guilt, and shame that lasted for years. I felt that I had done something wrong. I learned through the act of prayer to be the best that I could be in life. By paying attention to my own thoughts, words and actions I have changed my life for the better. Simply by switching from a negative thought to a positive thought takes a second. If I catch myself with words filling my mind that are not positive, I repeat three times, cancel, clear, delete!

“We write to taste life twice, in the moment and in retrospect…” – Anais-nin

The benefit of the third golden rule is when we take a pen to paper in a journal. As a form of release and detaching from the fears, of guilt and shame that I experienced it was my greatest moments in life that I adhered to as soon as I could write.

The simplicity of talking to oneself in a book through the written word and releasing what did not serve me helped me to understand human nature and why people spoke and acted the way they did. Yesterday I was clueless about the power of the ego that dwells in the realm of fear. Many in my life were fearful and projected this unto me as a child. In my journal, I could release the fear and heal myself. It was a journey of going within to discover my truth and to not take anything personally.

Writing has many forms besides keeping a journal! You can keep a Goals Book, and a To Do List Book. Every morning I write whatever goals I am interested in achieving. Then I go to “The Notebook” and write all that I desire to accomplish during the day.  It can be anything from journal writing, Facebook,  writing my blog, posting my blog, emails, food shopping, bills, or banking. Then I check each one, as I accomplish said task.

At the end of the day, I go over the few and sometimes none at all with a yellow highlighter so that I carry those forward tomorrow. This form of writing keeps me responsible for myself every day and I found it extremely beneficial. When you think in your head about what you want to do it slips out of your mind and disappears.

“Meditation can help us embrace our worries, our fear, our anger; and that is very healing. We let our own natural capacity of healing do the work…” -Thich Nhat Hanh

Late in life, I discovered the true power of this last golden rule that I practice diligently. Meditation has healed me in many ways. I am now calm,  filled with inner peace and in harmony while experiencing fun. I accept that there is a plan as well as searching for a better way to live my life.

My teacher, Deborah King states, “Meditation will help you tune into your waking life in a way you never thought you could experience. Your consciousness will expand. You will be able to tap into the universal energy that will assist you in healing yourself and your life. Meditation paves the way for emotional healing. On an energetic level, meditation will assist you in removing any blockages that come from holding onto anger and resentment. Meditation ushers in what may be the most important part of the energy healing process, forgiveness.”

I have found that I am loving life. I am blessed by the power of connecting to Mother Nature, my daily prayers, taking pen to paper, and of course daily sitting in silence twice a day for twenty minutes in meditation. There is a deep power that I am gifted by the silence of life in the twenty minutes I sit whether it is inside or outside, under a tree, at a waterfall or just in my backyard. I feel energized at times as well when in the middle of the day I choose to do my meditation practice.

I hope that you will pick one of these golden rules to start a journey in changing your life if you are having difficulty. Pick one for one week and then pick another to delve into the following week and so on. Remember consistency and staying focused daily is the most important on the path to follow these golden rules for personal growth, stimulation, and self-mastery.

LA BELIEVES IN LOVE

imageA Spiritual Path into the Journey of Prayer

The definition of the word ‘prayer’ in the Random House College Dictionary states.

Prayer, a devout petition to, or any form of spiritual communion with, God or an object of worship. The act or practice of praying. A formula or sequence of words used in or appointed for praying: the Lord’s Prayer.

I believe our thoughts and words are a form of prayer. We are filled with thoughts that are negative or unhealthy in our mind every day through many different avenues. To become conscious of these thoughts and change them is a form of prayer. Everyone has known some form of prayers from their childhood but may not continue to pray them. Raised as a Catholic, I still pray the Lord’s Prayer, Hail Mary and Glory Be to the Father. However, over the years I have incorporated new prayers that I have picked up on my spiritual journey. I would like to share them with you as well as affirmations that I consider as a form of prayer. When we open our mind, heart and soul to the journey of prayer all our words count. When we pray for guidance we know we are never alone and when we ask for help we receive help. A daily spiritual path into the journey of prayer daily will change your life!

-A Course in Miracles … Father, I come to you today to seek the peace that you alone can give. I come in silence in the quiet of my heart, the deep recesses of my mind, I wait and listen for your voice, my father, speak to me today. I come to hear your voice in silence and in certainty and love sure you will hear my call and answer me.

-Science of Mind … I was told to live by some inner mystic presence. I was told to live and to love, to laugh and to be glad. I was told to be still and know of the one almighty power, in and through all. I was told to let that power work through and in me. I believed that voice and I received my good.

-Daily a.m. practice (Caroline Myss) … I am committed to feeling a bond with each person I meet, to respecting  my own integrity and honor, to living within the energy of love and compassion and returning to that energy when I don’t feel it, to making wise and blessed choices with my will, to maintaining perceptions of wisdom and non-judgment, to release the need to know why things happen as they do, and not to project expectations over how I want this day to be and how I want others to be. Finally, my last prayer, to trust the divine. And with that I bless my day with gratitude.

-Entering the Castle (Caroline Myss) … I open myself to divine guidance I surrender myself to become as a channel for grace,  healing and service as God directs my life.

-Paramahansa Yogananda … Dear Father, whatever conditions confront me, I know that they represent the next step in my unfoldment. I will welcome all tests because I know that within me is the intelligence to understand and the power to overcome.

-Marianne Williamson … Please Bless my Parents, God. Thank you, thank them for the life they gave to me. For the ways they stumbled and held me back, please help me to forgive them and receive your compensation. May their spirits be blessed, their roads forward made easy. Please release them and release me from my childhood now gone by. Release us also from any bitterness I may still hold. They paved the way, in all that they did, for where I have been has led me here. I surrender my parents to the arms of God. Thank you, dear ones, for your service to me bless your souls. May your spirits fly free. May we enter into the relationship God wills for us. Thank you, Lord, for I am now free. Amen!

-A Comforting Prayer (Sylvia Browne)… May God, our Mother and Father, and the Christ-consciousness always be with us. On this journey, let us keep the White Light of the Holy Spirit around us aways, and even though we have written our chart, may we know that there are miracles. Amen.

-Archangels (Doreen Virtue)… Dear Archangel Michael, thank you for watching over us, our home and our vehicles. Thank you for giving me the courage and confidence to move forward with my divine life purpose.                                                                                       Archangel Michael, what changes would you like to see me make in my life right now? Please clearly guide me upon the path of my life purpose.                                                         Dear Archangel Michael, please send me a clear sign that I will easily notice and understand, letting me know you are  here and helping me gain guidance and peace.

-Prayer for Peace (St. Francis of Assisi)… Lord, make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love. Where there is injury, pardon. Where there is doubt, faith. Where there is despair, hope. Where there is darkness, light. Where there is sadness, joy. Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled, as to console. To be understood, as to understand. To be loved, as to love. For it is in giving that we receive. It is in pardoning that we are pardoned. And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

-My collection of affirmations ..

  • Daily I will seek happiness more and more within my mind and less and less through material pleasure.
  • I demand my divine birthright intuitively realizing that all wisdom and power already exists in my soul.
  • God is just behind my reason, today and everyday and is guiding me to do the right thing always.
  • Perfect peace and poise are mine today, as I concentrate all my power and ability upon expressing the divine will.
  • I know that God’s power is limitless; and as I am made in His image, I, too, have the strength to overcome all obstacles.
  • I possess the creative power of Spirit.
  • The Infinite Intelligence will guide and solve every problem.
  • God is my own inexhaustible Divine Bank.
  • I am always rich, for I have access to the Cosmic Storehouse.
  • I will go forth in perfect faith, in the power of omnipresent good to bring me what I need at the time I need it.
  • The sunshine of Divine prosperity has just burst through the dark sky of my limitations.
  • I AM God’s child.
  • I relax and cast aside all mental burdens allowing God to express through me His perfect love, peace and wisdom.
  • I only create peaceful experiences because I love myself.
  • All is well.
  • I am safe.
  • The God-part of my mind gives me a psychic sense of direction each and every day.
  • The mystical power of God rules my goals and their realization.
  • Harmony surrounds me.
  • I AM a center for love.
  • I hear love
  • I love my life and everyone I share it with daily.
  • I AM as God created me.
  • I AM love and light.
  • I trust the process of life to bring only good to me.
  • I AM healthy and whole, body, mind and soul.
  • God is Love.
  • Love is God.

LA Believes in LOVE

Here I was in 2003 affirming a new life for myself. Not that my life needed to be different but more like I needed to change my beliefs and step into a new beginning for me. When I heard the call of my soul I awakened to a world that was called by many new age. An interesting term when the truth is that this world that opened for me felt like it was part of my existence. I felt like I was home as I traveled the many avenues offered. In November of this year I experienced a Spiritual Day Spa which was amazing. It was at this spa that I met my mentor and studied with her for one year. She also was a Reiki Master Teacher and Certified Holistic Health Counselor. When the student is ready the teacher will come is how the saying goes. It seemed that I was ready.

Reiki is a 100 year old healing  modality where the practitioner uses hand positions over the chakras. The chakras are both connected to the physical organs in our body and the different layers of the aura. Chakra is a Sanskrit word and means “wheel.” A chakra will spin in relation to the energy level of your system. These chakras exist within us all. In the same way that we have a physical body we also have a subtle body. There are seven chakras that start at (1) the base of our spine (2) going up the body to the sacral (3) then our solar plexus (4) to the heart (5), throat (6), brow or third eye (7) the crown.  Every chakra has a corresponding organ in our physical system. I always refer to the chakras as the blueprint to our soul. As I discovered a new way of connecting to myself and by receiving Reiki, a shift from the depths of my soul guided me forward.

As I recall these years there were so many teachers that appeared for me in the form of books as I love to read. I actually have a library in my home. My dream ever since I could read and write was to be an author. My entire life I loved the action of taking a pen to paper and putting my thoughts and feelings into a journal. I explored poetry as a form of therapy when I was a young mother.

Here I was with my mentor who also taught me Reiki and led me to the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in NYC. The year was 2004 and in April, I discovered Caroline Myss and read her book Sacred Contracts. I have to take a second to inform you my reader that not only did I read many of these teachers books but I also traveled to their workshops. I laugh as I remember my fears as a Long Island mom traveling into New York City. However, the call of my soul drove me to take one step in front of the other and move forward at my pace.

Remember those little fingertips holding on for dear life when I looked into the mirror, well my inner child was starting to loosen up and let go. She was somehow happier as I traveled this path of my truth. I developed a need to walk at the beach, skip and sing with her. I fed her and she nourished my soul as we reconnected. There was no looking back but I will admit there was fear that I was going somewhere I knew nothing about haunted me. I was a wife and mother and that I knew how to do very well so I allowed that change is growth and I was doing something to create a better me, a wiser me and developing a spirituality that I had forgotten was mine.

Caroline Myss explains in her book Sacred Contracts how you can identify your particular spiritual energies, or archetypes – the gatekeepers of your higher purpose – and use them to help you find out what you are here on earth to learn and whom you are meant to meet. Exploring your Sacred Contract will shine a light on the purpose and meaning of your life. You are meant to do certain tasks, you are meant to have certain relationships.

By the time I was reading this book I had become a Reiki Master myself. Not only does Caroline Myss write of our contracts but she also  writes the following about our chakras.

The  system of energy centers known as the chakras  defines and supports our spiritual life much the way the spinal column – along which they are traditionally located – supports our physical body. Like the stages of a Contract, they too follow a progression that reflects our spiritual development from childhood through maturity. But in a literal sense, the chakras are also connected to the everyday function of our bodies and minds. They regulate everything from our survival instinct, sex drive, and self-esteem to our emotions, intellect, will and spiritual aspirations. A knowledge of how they function and how they help you to function is essential to a complete understanding of your Sacred Contract.

It is the reaction to our life situations I have learned that are capable of filling each and everyone of us with fear or love. My journey to live my truth has been an experience for me to look into all that is possible in life. As I pray I know I am creating a connection to a force that is beyond my wildest imagination to a power within. Releasing my thoughts in a journal is a form of therapy that clears my mind and soul. Meditation takes me into the vast depth within that waits to calm, center and enlighten me.

As I share my story and the  journey next and how I became a true believer in the unknown I hope my light shines on you.

The Power of Belief

Today, IAM 62 years old and I no longer believe as I was raised to believe because I journeyed a path to find my truth. In dong so, I found that God rests within me, actually in my heart. An avid reader I devoured books on other teachings when it came to individual beliefs. In my travels I discovered prayers that comforted me as well as nourished a part of me which I call my soul. My belief in God as my truth led me to study that which opened me to a main religion which I call LOVE!

Through the act of journaling IAM able to discover a life I chose, to be a beacon of light for others. There was a time I was not aware of this light that shined from within. Today, I know it is my purpose – my passion! IAM led by Spirit! This inner voice is clearly heard by me. I follow its guidance. It is my belief that IAM never alone. I smile as I write this because I deeply know there is a comforting world waiting to be embraced by all. I trust with my heart that all is exactly as it is meant to be for me. In reflection just in this past year I notice I listened to the guidance I received and became a way shower for others. I thank you God for that!

The past year, 2013, was a year of love; celebrating birthdays, anniversaries and marriages. We all turned a year older and my two youngest grand babies completed their first year.  The months were filled with parties as we came together with family and friends as one filled with laughter and joy. I have been always looking for my place and I feel I have found my way now. 2013 was the year I began my weekly blog and gave birth to a Monthly Healing Circle of Love which has brought women together in a safe haven to share their stories. The discovery of one’s passion and purpose as I have accomplished is through many different avenues but the main sign is that which excites you and when performing it time flies by.

Meditating, praying and journaling are my rituals to start my day. The routines of  daily life are the same for many I imagine because we exist solely on what we know and how we were raised. Personally, i was never taught to meditate before I opened the door to alternative belief. However, the depth of my meditating did not escalate until I studied with Deborah King and was taught by her. I believe today that I can be the person that is calm, worry-free and accepting because of the simplicity of meditating 20 minutes a day. Praying and journaling have been part of my journey as long as I can remember but now it is consistently a daily part of my life.

Today, the fifteenth day of the New Year I look forward to the surprises that await in this coming year. The books I will be led to read. The men and women’s stories I will hear. Those people the Universe will send to me to share all that I know as a Holistic Counselor. The times we shall come together with love in our hearts as family and friends. The wonder and excitement in the eyes of my children as they are amazed by the wonder of their children. The miracles that will set us free and that will open our hearts towards one another. The joy that fills my soul when I speak to my children all in the same day. The happiness I receive when I spend time with my grandbabies. I believe I live a wondrous life experience and I do look forward to not knowing the future but opening my heart to all.

I have discovered that I have reached inner peace that comforts my daily journey through my beliefs in a universe that guides me forward in this world. Meditating, prayer and journaling have become a passion and nourishment every day. Through these actions IAM nurtured. These tools are my primary food in life, as well as, a few others I have in my tool box while living a human experience as a Spiritual being.

The following is excerpted from my book: Making Believers: Connect to the Light within…

Nourishment

I need to do this for myself

I need to find solace

I need to feel silence

Within me runs a current of energy

That desires to be ignited

And burn brighter for all eternity

God will accomplish this dream to nourish me

As I spread His Love through my creativity!

Happy Holidays to All…

As I personally prepare for the holidays; shopping and wrapping presents, decorating my house and tree I look around at the beauty that fills my soul at this time of year. This past Saturday the snow covered the world as if I were living in a winter wonderland and filled me with delight. I trust and believe that there is a Divine Intelligence creating this beauty to behold. I reflect back on past holiday seasons when I was a child. The snow, music, wonder, and excitement filled with anticipation of the gifts on Christmas morning I can still remember. IAM very grateful for my parents who always made the holidays special. I try in my way to take what they taught me with my own children and now my grandchildren.

Christmas is all about the wonder in the eyes of a child. My oldest grandchild who is 5 told me that he received a letter from Santa and he was put on the nice list. He was thrilled! I have created in these past few weeks a date night with my two oldest grandsons and they fill my heart with joy. My husband and I pick them up at early in the evening and spend about 3 hours with them. It is a time that for me is planting memories for tomorrow. I told my husband that I hope that even 10 years down the road we are still meeting them for dinner and our special time together. Why not?

For many I am aware of the grief they are feeling during this time of the year, whether it is a recent loss or a past loss in their lives. It is part of our life journey to love and move one. To grieve and feel sad, even depressed. Personally, I have grieved, I have lost but I trust that there is a process to life and that sometimes we must remember to give an open love unconditionally with those we share our life experience with so we have no regrets afterwards. Love is the Power we all possess to be given with an open heart.

There comes a time to forgive those we think that have created fear and pain in our lives and remember the good times. There had to be good times, I believe! We forget the fun times, the laughter and wonder of life and choose to get stuck in the end part of life. That those we loved are gone, but how did you get along with them when they were here is the question to be answered. What better time of year then this time when there is music, lights, gifts to be bought and food to be shared to reflect on happy memories.

We as a society take the fears, guilt, shame, lies and grief forward with us by choice when they need no longer be part of today. We need not forget but we can forgive only because what has happened cannot be changed. We are here to love one another unconditional. Sit in silence today and close your eyes for a few minutes checking in with your emotions and how you love who you are, then fill your heart with this love and send it to those you are missing. Breathe in saying “God!” Breathe out saying “Is!” You will be amazed at how wonderful you will feel!

Meditating, taking pen to paper, praying and reading spiritual books can calm the soul and relax the mind. Yes, it is a hectic time in general but it is also a time to give, forgive and be of service in some way. It matters most of all the love in your heart that you share with another.

Simplify Your Life… Choose Love!

There seems to me that the process of life is laid out and one can be accepting of its needs or not. I strive through intention to surround those in need with the Dove of Love. I believe only the Dove of Love can be shared and passed on for love is all that is needed to wipe away one’s tears in the night or day. It is the strength of all to find a means to survive with love as the main ingredient that is most likely missing. It is foolish for anyone to believe that love is not necessary for them to feel happy or complete. Love is definitely a source of light to live by. Let me explain what I mean by the Dove of Love which to me seems a way for me to just do a visualization that is a means of sending love out to those in need by having a white dove deliver love, peace and calmness to all who need love in their life for whatever reason because they have popped into my mind. A simple intention of love being sent from me to you.

As we are joined one and all to each other by the bond that we share life on this planet. It is the air we breathe, the sun that warms us, the sea that calms us and the earth that grounds us and fills us with beauty. It is this unity of life which is the fact that we are all one. It is not hard to remember this but easy to ignore that love connects us all. Take a look at your own thoughts to find balance and beauty in life daily.

As children we are amazed by the wonder, excitement and joy of life. Unfortunately, we grow to mistrust the freedoms of yesterday and follow instead a society type of belief. The ugliness, competition, pettiness and monetary values tend to create our new belief. Are we foolish to believe otherwise? Can it be that the lessons of life are simply just the choices we create to learn from? It is those of us who refuse to learn from our own choices that require one to stop and pay attention to the pattern of their own creations. We are the only ones who can choose to stop and learn from our thoughts, words and actions.

If there is illness of any kind, sadness, grief or depression then please take a look at your emotions and reactions on a daily basis. Pay attention to how you feel; are you angry, nasty, or abusive in any way.? Have you developed a pattern that can now be considered confrontational? Are you addictive? Do you in someway believe that you must control life in general? Do you believe you are unworthy or a victim. Are you having difficulty forgiving others from your past? STOP! Release that which no longer serves you today.

Life is to live!  Life is to grow!  Life is to love! When we choose to differ and refuse love then we are betraying only ourselves. When we know we are not honest and create a life that destroys the love for ourselves or another we are willingly denying love into our lives. If it is your choice to be dishonest, deceitful, a liar or simply just unkind to those you claim to love then the pain that is greatest lies within. This dishonesty, betraying and lying to others begins to affect us in ways that are painful as it contradicts our inner beliefs. The innocence of life is gone and one fills with pain and illness that one has simply created. It is the process of life to trust that there is a process created by God called; love, honesty and the strength of kindness which creates beauty into ones life. Where there is beauty and light there is expansion of oneself that fills one with abundance to breathe in the love of life. As we unfold into finding love we become receptive to our own awareness and insight. Further benefit can be obtained through prayer and meditation.

The Fears of Life Eventually Lead us to our Path, Passion and Purpose….

I believe with my entire self that anything is possible. I believe in love and kindness for all. I believe I have loved deeply and will always love deeply. It is the part of me that best describes who IAM! There was a time though that I feared life. Why? In retrospect I was lost and scared. I needed to believe first in who I AM. I created a pattern of letting my own self, my truth disappear and be taken from me. Strange words to write I imagine for others to read and yet it is the essence of life one needs to learn to see the beauty of which one can be in life. I have learned that we are all beautiful in our own way. We just glow brighter when we realize our own beauty comes from within. To let another rob us of who we are is a lesson to accomplish in returning to oneself, to simply remember our truth. This pattern we create to survive is our shield, mask or simply not who we believe we are allowed to be because of fear that has been gifted to us by our parents, spouses or society.

The path of life is to love the life you have chosen. To develop a trust that there is a process to all of life and that everything happens for a reason. Those who dare to believe otherwise refuse to learn about themselves. Clearly, I see the pain in life that we ourselves need to create due to the basic belief we choose when we choose fear. Once love replaces fear the pain will be no more. We all at one time need to grow our thoughts, words and actions with a belief that is positive by planting one seed at a time. A wholeness will then develop to set one apart. As we realize there is a part of us that is our spiritual self, we will then discover that these inner parts are deep and profound, as well as, perfect.

We create barriers in our own lives! Who or what is this barrier? It has to be an emotional state one gets into which is not contributing to who one really is. As the carrier of our own emotions we need to release the ideas, thoughts and feelings of yesterdays relationship with life that have become habits today. In doing so, a new beginning will unfold.

There is a definite oneness to life – a unity that connects us all yet we are individual with our own creativity to allow one to progress in life to complete self-harmony. We will then become balanced and have responsibilities through the service of this creativity to fulfill a life daily with this inner wisdom which is our self-harmony. Individually each one of us needs to attain this for ourselves. The barrier created of emotional attachment will be released then forever. The beauty of life is when we choose not to allow despair into  our being and to stop the growth of it to become a strength that is unacceptable. We must grow beyond what we ourselves can imagine.

There comes a time when we desire to travel alone in life without the strength of another. Why? We need to find the strength we possess within! When one flies to the highest change one can experience the discovery of who they can be will be waiting to complete them. This release of emotional attachment to our past is the grandest of complete growth and our independence. We all have the right to travel this journey of knowledge that we crave about who we are and who we can be.

There will then be a positive sight  to cling to and the path will be cleared of the debris of fear that had been gifted from one to another. The  body, mind and soul creates and craves to release the negativity of life that surrounds everyone. This is the needed escape to cleanse the thoughts of yesterday once and for all. The routine of the vicious cycle of life one is accustomed to will then end quite quickly. We cannot stop the fears of yesterday by the thoughts of trying to reason or ask why. That is not up to us IAM told. Embrace the lessons learned and leave the rest.

It is a bit difficult to be able to stand up and believe in oneself. Yet, it is needed and the only way is to follow the inner ache of the heart for more. The truth of who anyone can be is this accomplishment. We are never taught to love ourselves first but to do for others especially as women. It is expected that women must sacrifice their lives for those they love. Men also have the burden of being strong, successful, responsible and insightful to the needs of the women they love. Whether we are woman or man fear is of the ego. Love erases the fears of yesterday and connects one to God. Anyone can get a chance to live a life that can fulfill their desired dreams at any age. A miracle of insight and knowledge, of all one can desire, dream and imagine starts by the simple act of loving oneself.

One may wonder how one begins to love oneself and reach as deep within as they can to find their path, passion, and purpose – their power. It is not easy to relive the past looking for answers to all the questions that start with why! Know that there is a road to travel that is waiting for you. Leave the past where it belongs in the past and become aware of your present thoughts, words and actions. The steps can be many; from diet, to exercise, affirmations, Reiki, acupuncture, massage, meditation, prayer, energy healing and the inner work of taking pen to paper is the greatest therapy I have ever experienced to release all that no longer serves me today. My greatest moments in life have been when I connected to Mother Nature’s beauty; a walk at the beach, a walk around the block, sitting under the moon, swimming in water, even hugging a tree to ground myself to her and fill myself up with her strength. We are one as we all spend time with her daily in any form that we travel. Mother Earth connects us and supports us in all that we choose to be.

LA Believes

In January I spent my time reflecting, renewing, and remembering due to the fact that I had to “Pause” the life I had been living. In doing so, I began to dig deep within to discover what I am not getting that pertains to the rest of my journey. Yesterday or as many of us refer to our life as the past I was a strong daughter, wife and mother. I was determined, focused and wild as to the way I wanted to be, even though at times there was a silent women crying to get out and be seen and heard. My awareness stemmed from my Spirit, I imagine today because I always followed my intuition with prayer and unconditional love.

Suddenly, God stepped in and there was a fork in the road; with tears and many fears I chose to become a better me; to educate myself about the life I could change! The main word I heard all of the time was to “share” with others my journey. As I remember that time in my life at fifty years old I simply went with the flow because there was a passion calling to me from the depths of my being. I felt like a “wild woman,” searching for herself. I had been missing from my own life for a very long time.

Through the written word I released the confusion, doubt and panic, as I filled journal after journal. I was totally clueless as to where I was going or why but the “wild woman” inside seemed to know. All these years later I believe another tremendous shift is upon me because I cannot continue as I have been. It seems I am missing again! I WANT MORE.

What one believes from their own inner dreams is key to this process we call life which I have experienced. Creativity MUST be daily manifested in some form. Without any ritual in life we simply get side tracked. Meditating, keeping a daily journal, praying and acknowledging the beauty of Mother Nature allows one to manifest the desires of the soul.

Here I am wanting to step up to a new “Me,” if that is possible. I am tired of yesterday’s beliefs. I am exhausted by the demands. I am disgusted with the doubts and fears. My freedom is in healing and blessing all.

It is a time for me to respect and honor my past for it has led me to awaken and seek my inner wisdom. Being passionate about learning and sharing with others is key to my reason for being. I am not clueless, I am knowing all that I need to know by the gifts that I have been bestowed with. Life is a true blessing for me because I have no regrets.

I am ready to let the “wild woman” run with me forward once again with open arms.

LA Believes

Who am I today? How did I get to where IAM today?

These are the questions that have popped into my mind  over and over. I have struggled for years with not knowing the direction of my life. Married at twenty, raising four children and now I am a grandmother to four grand babies and still I do not know who I am. How can that be?

I have been searching it seems for my entire life for this answer. I have meditated and prayed  for this answer, as well.  I have filled many a journal over the years inquiring about an answer. I have read literally thousands of books, gone to many workshops and studied under many teachers searching for this answer. I have become a Reiki Master, a Certified Holistic Health Counselor, Metaphysical Practitioner and Author, imagining I would find  this answer. I studied Science of Mind, ACIM, Kabbalah and the Teachings of Abraham by searching on a yearly basis for an answer. This past year I signed up to study with Deborah King once again seeking to know of an answer.

I have walked the streets of my neighborhood, the mall, skipped at the beach with tears of joy waiting for this answer.

I have been called a student of life, a healer, a counselor, a comfort to many and very spiritual and intuitive  from  women and men. I wondered and was amazed at how others saw me, just maybe one of those labels is the answer?

At night when I lay down my head on my pillow, I close my eyes and have recited for the many years the following:

“Thank you dear God, Blessed Mother, Archangels, Angels, Spirit Guides, Totem animals and my Lord and my Lady Yesuah Messiah and St Mary Magdalene for this day. The moon, the sun, the stars in the sky and the earth that grounds me.. Thank you for the foods that I have eaten. I thank my Ancestors! I pray the Glory Be, a Hail Mary and a Our Father. I wait a second and pray God is Love, Love is God, God is all there is. I look within and smile to myself if I have spoken to all four of my children, especially on the rare occasion when I see all four! I thank God for another day with my husband. I say and imagine in my mind’s eye, IAM as God created me, a Spiritual Being of Light And Love. I create joyful experiences in my life, I trust the process of Life. IAM a Spiritual Healer, IAM a Spiritual Teacher, IAM a successful Author. IAM healthy, happy and whole body, mind and soul. IAM safe, IAM fearless, IAM abundant…”

It seems to me that I have struggled with God’s plan, His belief in me  because of my own doubt and disbelief in myself that I now release these questions for they no longer serve me. I believe finally I have received the answers to my questions and I can let go and let God lead me on this journey, as He has been obviously doing.

It feels great to know that IAM not in control and that there is a Divine Intelligence that is leading me to be “Me!” I have been truly led all of these years and I believe the questions stem from my ego-self but finally my God-self simply whispered a little louder. All I need to accept is that All is Well, as is…
