I AM LOVING MOTHER NATURE …

“I asked myself, “do I sit here and admire the view, or do I keep going and see what is on the  other side?” Mother Nature is beautiful. She has such a wide range of emotions that it is hard not to love them all.” – Anthony T. Hincks

We as a people, spiritual beings living a human existence, are abusing our mother. We cringe and suffer from weather that terrifies us. We are extremely busy when it comes to daily disregard for her beauty. We choose to liter her paths and contaminate her fields with abusive pesticides. We destroy her trees continuously, fill her oceans with debris and plastics. We have more garbage that is wasteful, and we now need to recycle.

“Forests are the lungs of our land. ” – Franklin D. Roosevelt

Yesterday, was not so long ago where the memory of climbing a tree with my brother filled me with joy. It was then when I learned to respect mother and never liter her. There was little in the way of plastics, as well. As a family, we ate at home never in a restaurant and had no take-out plastic or styrofoam boxes to discard. Life may have been simpler only because there was less.

Our mother still blesses us daily with her beauty; parks, beaches, oceans, and forests. Trees, birds, flowers, green pastures and the warmth of her sun as it shines down on our faces. We have decided to ignore our mother! In doing so, our abuse of her is destroying her. How do we begin to pay her respect for all that she has provided? We each need to ask ourselves what we can personally do on a daily basis.

Pay respect to mother by going to her beaches, taking a swim in her waters, sitting in a park, hiking through her woods. Show her that you see her. Embrace her so she can embrace you back. Open your heart to her beauty and be grateful for her belief in us as humans. Thank her. Merely say; “thank you, mother!”

Recently, I have discovered the cleanest, freshest, energy in the simplicity of walking through the woods. There is joy in hugging a tree and sitting in meditation outside. Being thankful that mother nature is there for me whenever I am in need of her sustenance fills me with happiness. To sit under her moon and be witness to her love for me. To float on her seas while surrounded by her elements in a way fills me with an energy that is bountiful. How do the elements; earth, water, fire, and air, play a role in your life?

I no longer climb her trees, but I am capable of hugging them and talking to them. I speak to the trees and thank them for their protection and shade. I am grateful for the fruits they bare for me to eat. I am thankful for the plants, flowers, and foods that I consume from the depths of her being as she nourishes me. Even her water that cleanses my body, clothes, and house and quenches my thirst I find delightful.

When mother shutters and shakes and lighting bolts roar her strength in the sky, I tremble at her anger. When her tears fall from the heavens, I imagine her sadness. At times when the waters rage and wind forces life to be unbearable, I believe how difficult it must be for our mother to cleanse herself. The moments she decides to freeze over and cover herself with a blanket of white snow and ice chills me to the bone.

I am amazed that so many of us are clueless as to how we can help our mother in distress at this time. She cannot do it alone. It need not be only her who concentrates on raising her vibration. If we as society tried personally to raise our vibration, life would be much more comfortable. The most natural act is to acknowledge that we need her, love her and are grateful for her.

“Plant seeds of happiness, hope, success, and love; it will all come back to you in abundance. This is the law of nature.” – Steve Maraboli

To choose love, kindness, joy, and happiness as the tools of our existence can make a difference. To waste less when it comes to everything! To recycle as much as we can. To stop buying plastic water bottles. To eliminate processed foods from our diets daily that have no value to our lives. To instead bless and thank all of our mother’s plant-based foods, superfoods, super herbs, organic fruits, veggies, nuts, and grains that will nurture us and her at the same time.

We are the ones in a state of despair by our choices when it comes to how we think, speak and act. We are the most potent beings; we can ever imagine. It is time now for change, love, and kindness towards one another, as humans and the animal kingdom. In the end, the compassion and love will manifest tenfold from our mother to us.

LA Believes

As I look outside my window the beauty of Mother Nature expands my heart to open. I am extremely blessed because I live on the water  and every morning, day and night I embrace this awesome sight. The memories I carry in my minds eye of my children growing up here fills me with unconditional love for life on a whole. Now as a grandmother I get to see my grand babies fill with joy when they come here to go in the pool, fish off the dock or just watch the different boats and jet skis go by. My oldest grandson had his first four birthday parties here and starts with the first sunny day to ask if the pool is open yet? We have had many parties and celebrations during the past twenty-six years but the fondest of memories for me, is the quiet in the early morning as I ponder life looking at the flow of water.

Of course, during the different seasons of the year the view changes but in difficult times in life that I have experienced it was always Mother Nature that offered me a way to heal. To simply step out my kitchen door onto the deck and thank her for her beauty and let the sun fill my being, to read a book with a cup of coffee and know I  am nourished by these surroundings because I experience this beauty daily when I just sit outside or look out. The birds chirping, the ducks quacking, swans swimming by this time of year is a delight to all my senses and I am grateful to be alive!

I have respected her beauty and all that she offers me from a very young age. My father taught me to treat her with love and I have. I am tender with her as I recycle, have a water filter in my home, do not use bleach or harmful chemicals to clean and clean up after others whenever I see garbage, especially in women’s bathrooms. I don’t let the water run before taking a shower or while I am brushing my teeth, as well as buying recycled products such as paper towels and toilet paper. I also have this ache that settles in my heart when it comes to waste of any kind. Paying attention to the stuff in our lives and not throwing out good items of any kind but donating them to those in need who are less fortunate helps as well. Simple little rituals in life that we can all pay attention to daily to respect this great home we all share.

I wonder at times how can someone not pay attention to their surroundings? If you see garbage pick it up. If you use plastics, please recycle them, choose safe products to clean your home with not harsh chemicals that go down the drain into Mother Nature, especially in theses times now where Mother Nature, our Earth, our home is crying out to us.

May God continue to bless our beautiful Mother and give her a tremendous hug from all of us at this time of the year.
